I cannot speak more highly about Danny and the team. My car has been hit twice over the last few years and both time it was as easy as making a call, sending the insurance estimate, and dropping off my car. The work is great (and it gets a detailing better than the day I drove it off the dealer's lot) and the experience sets a standard above the rest.

UNBELEVIABLE Experience! Not my first time at Detroit Collison but as usual this experience exceeded my expectations. My 2005 Lexus came out better than it was when I first purchased it in 2004! Highly recommend! Experience from start to finish was easy and top notch.

Our Volvo XC60 was damaged by a sloppy contractor who backed into our car with his truck. Detroit Collision Center did a perfect job repairing the damage, and the staff was courteous and cheerful!
Frequently Asked Questions About Detroit Collision Center
What should I do immediately after a collision?
First, ensure everyone is safe and call emergency services if needed. Exchange insurance information with the other party, document the scene with photos, and contact Detroit Collision Center. We’ll handle the rest!
How long will the repair process take?
The time required for collision repair depends on the extent of the damage and parts availability. Minor repairs may take a few days, while extensive repairs could take a few weeks. Your repair shop should provide an estimated timeline after the initial assessment.
Do I need to get multiple repair estimates?
Most insurance companies only require one estimate from a certified repair shop. However, you can get multiple estimates for peace of mind and comparison. Your insurer may have a preferred network of repair shops but you are not obligated to use them.
Will my insurance cover the entire cost of the repair?
This depends on your policy and the circumstances of the collision. If you're at fault, you'll need to pay your deductible, and your insurance will cover the rest. If the other party is at fault, their insurance may cover the cost. Some policies may not cover certain repairs or parts, so review your coverage carefully.
Can I choose where my vehicle is repaired?
Yes, you have the right to choose any repair shop for your vehicle. Insurance companies may suggest preferred shops, but you are not required to use them. Choose a shop that is certified and has a good reputation.
What is the difference between OEM and aftermarket parts?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the vehicle’s manufacturer and are often more expensive but fit perfectly. Aftermarket parts are made by third-party manufacturers and can vary in quality. Insurance companies may opt for aftermarket parts to lower costs, but you can request OEM parts if preferred, though it might affect coverage.
Will my vehicle be as good as new after the repair?
Your vehicle will be restored to its pre-accident condition.
Will my vehicle's paint match after repairs?
We use advanced color-matching technology to ensure that the new paint matches the existing paint.
What happens if additional damage is found during the repair?
If we find additional damage that was not initially visible, we will inform you and your insurance company for re-inspection. We will get approval from the insurance company to cover the additional costs, which could extend the repair timeline.
Is there a warranty on collision repair work?
