  I had a chip from a rock. I needed to get it fixed before the cooler weather comes because I know they can sometimes crack the whole windshield. When I found out from my Allstate agent that my comprehensive covered it for that small chip without a deducible I made an appointment online to get it fixed . I had a choice between two different places that were close to my home or they could come out. I chose Johnston, Rhode Island. I was able to get an appointment in two days, which was very pleasing. Email confirmations and text confirmations were sent to remind me of my appointment . I arrived a few minutes early and everything was explained to me about the process and also risk of the windshield shattering from the pressure. Employees were very polite, and I was out of there within an hour.

  The overall Safelite experience was super high value. They removed all the typical pain points-seamless online appointment management, insurance integration and timely home service. All top notch.

  Scheduled an appointment nearly a week in advance, followed the instructions and arrived 10 minutes early…30 minutes after my appointment time and my truck was still in the parking lot waiting to be serviced. Nobody seemed to care so I took my keys back and my truck wasn’t serviced. Completely wasting my time and gas. Will not use safelite again, and will avoid doing any business of any kind in Rhode Island. The people don’t care and it really shows. The worst state in the country, Rhode Island

  Safelite’s pricing left a really bad taste in my mouth. The moment I tried to cancel my appointment, they suddenly offered me $100 off. If you can immediately knock $100 off just because a customer is about to walk away, it raises a pretty obvious question: why wasn’t I offered a fairer price in the first place? It felt manipulative and made me seriously question how transparent their pricing really is. On top of that, I told them I had no window at all—there was literally no glass left to remove or recycle—yet they forced me to agree to a $39.99 glass recycling fee to proceed. They then told me the technician would have to waive the fee when he arrived. Why require a customer to agree to a fee you already know doesn’t apply? That felt shady too and only added to my concerns about their pricing practices.
