  We called several places for a quote on shocks and struts, they had the most reasonable price among their competitors. We were originally told they may have to keep the car a couple days, it was a pleasant surprise when they called at lunch time and said it was ready. Kaylee, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was polite, professional and knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend Melvin's tire to anyone.

  Had another amazing experience at Melvin's this morning. I drive 30 minutes (which is far in Rhode Island) due to the excellent and fair service. Manager, Chris, goes above and beyond to communicate issues, price and wait time with transparency and professionalism. He is honest and trustworthy- quickly fixing small issues and ensuring total happiness with the service work done. Kaleigh at the desk is great at checking in on the timeline of repairs and scope of the work. I never feel pressured into extra parts, upcharging or repairs. I've had oil changes, inspections, both sets of brakes and rotors, all new tires and alignment. The staff seem happy to work there and proud of what they do. I usually wait with my car instead of dropping off and appreciate the WiFi to work and cold water machine. There is also a Dunkin Donuts a few shops down and a Tractor Supply next door to burn some time. Staff have been conscientious in expediting service and checking in on the timeline when I've come with small children. Safety is important to me as I drive far with two young kids. I'm thankful to have found a small shop that values the same things I do. Thank you, Melvins!

  I had a great experience at Melvin’s Tire Pros. From the moment I walked in, the team was professional, honest, and easy to work with. What really stood out was the management—they went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled the right way. They took the time to explain what my car needed, didn’t try to upsell me on anything unnecessary, and made sure I was comfortable with the entire process. It’s not often you find a shop that genuinely cares about their customers, but you can tell they take pride in their work and how they treat people.

  I have been bringing my car to Melvin's for 5 years and have always appreciated their honesty and recommendations. My recent experience was an oil change, tire rotation, and front and back brakes. I also needed new lift supports for the trunk as they had worn out. Chris researched this part and gave me the correct model number so I could order them. I appreciated the time he spent looking up the part to be sure it was the right one, and I brought the car back today so he could install them. I've been very saitisfied with their prices and services.

  I brought my mothers 2013 venza for a shake between 20 and 35 mph. I told them I thought it was the drive shaft carrier bearing because that's what made sense. I got a call back telling me that the rear end had started leaking and grenaded... exact words. However I drove that car in when a rear end grenades you hear it and it does not want to drive or you will be hearing gears grinding as you do. So I went back and the car was still on the lift I got underneath it and he said look it's leaking that's what caused it to blow up I said yeah I see that. At that point I started inspecting the drive shaft shaking it back and forth at the bearings. Front bearing looked uniform and was tight rare bearing was a little loose so I looked at it and had half an inch on top of the bearing and a quarter of an inch on the bottom meaning it was bad. I went in and without me asking he said take the car down at which point I asked him how much I owed him. He said oh don't worry about it. He wanted to charge me $3100 for a front and rear drive shaft seal and drive shaft. Which the rear drive shaft seal wasn't even bad it was the CV axle seals. I bought the drive shaft for $300 on eBay and I brought it to Joe's garage in burrillville and they charge me $180 to put in the drive shaft and the front pilot shaft seal. He didn't charge me for looking at it cuz he knew damn well he was lying at Melvin's and after we paid $3,100 for the rear end he also would have told us the drive shaft needed to be replaced which would have been another $2,000. If you bring your vehicle there make sure you know what it needs before they do it do not believe what they tell you is wrong with your vehicle.
