Excellent Service Every Time - This was my second time bringing a vehicle to Monro Auto Service and Tire Centers in East Providence, and once again the experience was outstanding. Scott and his team delivered excellent service from start to finish. They installed my new tires promptly and made sure I was completely satisfied with the results before I left.
The staff here is personable, friendly, and genuinely easy to communicate with — the kind of team you can trust with your vehicle. Their attention to customer care really stands out, and the pricing is great for the quality of work and quick turnaround.
I’ll continue bringing my cars here for all my tire needs. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, the review that I have for this exact location would be below typical standards. I do appreciate the assistance with applying for the buy now pay tomorrow credit card services. Informing customers they have that option is very helpful, especially if you do not have the finances to pay for your car serviced.
Unfortunately, with the system that they do have it is a slower process of applying for the credit card, and there were some technical difficulties. The manager has to receive codes for your application and then process the bill and if the manager does not have the correct code then it will slow down the process and they cannot work on your car until they verify that you are approved for the credit card. I did have to call Citibank twice and almost applied for the credit card twice. The manager did apologize for the inconvenience of having system issues.
He told me that it was his first time processing the application for the buy now pay tomorrow credit card option.
However, I was very dissatisfied with the staff working by themselves not having adequate help to get repairs done on time. The wrong pots were ordered for my car and this was found after a few hours of working on my car. I arrived at Monroe‘s a little after 10 AM. I left after 2 PM. My brakes and rotors had to be done. I was informed in the beginning of service for my vehicle that I would need two tires. However, I wasn’t informed of why I would need two tires. I informed the employee that I had to be done by 1 o’clock from the start of requesting a service repair. I informed the manager that if my car was not done by one, then I would have to reschedule and have my car serviced on another day. They assured me that my car would be done by 1 PM so I could pick up my daughter from school. So around 1 PM is when they realized that they ordered the wrong parts for the rotors. Please keep in mind. I arrived a little after 10 AM. I walked into the garage area to take a look at my car since the wrong parts were ordered as my car was lifted. I noticed that there was a nail in each tire, each rear tire. I informed the manager and I went to pull the nail out in the Manager informed me not to pull it out because air could leave my tire.
I was very upset due to the fact that I wasn’t informed there were nails in my tire and they were aware that I had to drive my car out of Monroe and pick my daughter up from school.
I was very upset seeing that they could’ve also ordered a tire or offered to repair with a fixer flat option rather than not tell me nails were in my tires. I was still charged full price and had no choice but to leave with a nail in each of my tires. I had to spend additional money and pay someone to patch the nails in my tires so I would still be with an operating vehicle. I did take videos and pictures of what had transpired. I was very disappointed the mechanic who serviced my vehicle for the brakes and rotors took took the time out to come into the waiting area to show me how worn down my brake pads were but did not take the time to show me the nails in my tires and that was very concerning to me, so I took pictures of the Mechanic holding the brake pads and holding my car in the air with nails In my tires. I was not called back and asked if I would like a discount due to the disservice that was done. I was not offered anything. I am disappointed. I believe I should’ve been given some type of discount or the service should’ve even been free. There’s no reason why anyone should leave Monroe with a nail in each tire and not be informed, especially when I was informed that he took pictures of my vehicle and did inspect my car all the way around, including having to bleed the brakes.
If my car had the wrong parts and they re-ordered the car parts that were correct around around 1 PM. , then why wouldn’t they inform me of the nails and ordered a tire around that time as well?

The day after I dropped the car off they give me a call saying they did almost 2k worth of work without my authorization. They did call back 10 minutes later and tell me that they were mistaken and no work had been done on the car. Seems like a big mistake. After talking it over we agree to replace one ignition coil and one spark plug after they try telling me to replace all of them because of the added strain one bad one would put on the rest. But that’s not how it works so that was a lie to upsell me. The one ignition coil they do replace they charge me over 250 dollars for the part alone. An ignition coil for my car is under a 100 bucks. I don’t know why they tried to sell me stuff I didn’t need or why they overcharged me for the part. I come here because the last manager, Paul, was always very fair to me and as a woman I don’t always get the fairest experience at a garage. But the two times I have been with the current manager I had a horrible time. Last time they charged me for a service I didn’t even ask for. I don’t know if they just figured I don’t know enough to know how bad this was or if they just do this to everyone.

I had the rear brakes replaced—friendly and attentive staff. The technicians showed me each set of brakes on my car and explained the required repairs. Will be recommending this shop to all of my friends.

I called the customer service number to schedule an inspection, tire rotation and oil change. The customer service rep made the appointment for me. When I showed up to just drop off the vehicle for the work to be done I was met by a highly rude technician. Dismissing the schedule saying "not going to happen" without even an attempt to explain why or reschedule. Then tried to tell me the man I spoke to on the phone (I spoke to a female on the phone) tried to call me about it. I have no call history from the location. Regardless the technician was highly unprofessional over what should have been a simple drop off interaction.
