I called the location on Tuesday that I would be picking up the rental from but the phone system transferred me to a call center. The agent I spoke with found my claim info and he put in my request for a luxury SUV for pickup on Thursday. On Thursday the local employees say there is no record of my request or that I called in at all. Assistant manager at the counter blamed me for the communication issue because I probably "called some random number from Google" and handed me his business card. When I pulled up my call history right then I saw I called the same number he provided. Then his excuse was "oh well that is corporate's fault for promising things we can't deliver." As a customer, none of us care if you are a corporate store or not. You blamed me for the lack of communication between your employees. I had this rental for a week and a half. They never offered to get a nicer car and switch out after a few days. Also, it's not a good look when your own people don't notice cracked windshields on cars you drive out to customers and then claim they can't use that one because it's damaged.

I regret not reading these reviews prior to picking up my rental. I had limited time to get a rental vehicle as it was almost the weekend and I had to return to work on Monday. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was asked if I would like to purchase the damage waiver. It was not made clear to me at that time the damage waiver was a daily charge. I was charged $125.96 and was under the impression that was for the damage waiver for the duration I had the rental. Upon returning the vehicle to the branch 39 days later, I was presented with a bill of $974 for the daily fee of the damage waiver. I was given a partial refund due to the incorrect daily amount on the original rental agreement, but the branch was unwilling to rectify the situation any further. After reading several reviews from the last year it became clear that I am not the first person this has happened to and I want to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
