I have a 1999 Ford e450 super duty bus. It has rear dual tires. I came in for the advertised (via signage on premises, but probably elsewhere too) free air tire check/fill. I know my rear tires needed air. One employee was able to fill 1/4 of my rear tires, and then said that yes, they could fill the remaining 3, I would just have a short wait and they would have to put my bus into a bay so they could put it on a jack to take the tires off to fill them and then they would put them back on. And he said tlit would be free. So I go and park and wait. Maybe a half an hour or so passes, not too much time, and I hear someone with an air compressor right outside. A second employee is now attempting to do what the first employee already declared could not be done without taking the tires off. This second employee then told me that all 4 of my rear tires were in bad shape. The outer driver's side the other employee fill, the inner driver's side was dangerous enough that he refused to put any air in it at all for fear that it might blow up. And on the passenger side, he could not access the outside OR the inside dual tire on that side of the vehicle. So, to do that was going to require putting the vehicle on a jack and taking the tires off (ummm, yeah.. that's what I thought was going to happen and why I was waiting..?) and that it was going to cost me about $80 bucks to do that bc of time and labor. I just said ok and left bc I already know what happened.. I got discriminated against bc I have a bus, that is not in the best repair, and they determined that I was most likely living in the vehicle, or WHATEVER conclusion that they came to that I was not worthy of honoring the service that they have advertised for FREE. after i waited patiently for my turn. and there was not a "FREE*" with the asterisk, or a superscript ¹( or any of the other ways they advertise things in large bold print but then have fine print exceptions) the was none of that. Iy should be free for everyone and they should honor the service even if it takes them a little bit of extra work to accomplish it. I thought that just MAYBE when I gave them my name and they saw that I spent $1300 on 4 brand new wheels for a different vehicle about 3 years ago that maybe, just MAYBE they wouldnt judge and treat me like crap when they saw the vehicle and the stuff inside, which is my entire life in a metal box on wheels right now, but I was wrong. It didnt matter that I was a previous customer, or that I was overly polite, or told them that they could take as much time as they needed to and if they had other stuff they needed to do first..I said that was ok too because I wasn't in any hurry. But none of it mattered. What the one employee knew to be true, and was simply doing his job as he knows how to do it and told me what he told everyone else that had a vehicle that needed a bit of extra time to complete the job they advertise..."we CAN do it, you might need to wait about an hour, but it won't cost you anything" and everything was on track for that to happen until I actually went inside and got myself on the wait-list. The lady that took my name and info wasnt unprofessiona, or impolite..she was just doing her job, but I could tell. I could tell when she asked for my keys and I told her that I've got dogs in the vehicle, told her I parked so I wouldn't be in the way, and could someone please call me when it was my turn and I could bring the vehicle around? She said ok..but I could tell it wasn't ok. I knew, after talking to her, that the polite helpful young man that started to help me with checking my tire pressure, was not going to be the one to FINISH helping me with checking my tire pressure. And for Les Schwab being all about tires, they can never do a simple thing for me like take off my tires and put air in them. Today, he said it would be $80 in labor! Can you believe that? To take off and fill up 4 tires with air and put them back on. $80! I guess poor people don't qualify for the free air pressure check.

They let me drive my car away with critical rust damage to the sub frame, after charging me $1.7k for brakes and control arm replacements, then refused to refund me anything. I don't care if they don't specialize in frame work, such a critical issue could have at least been mentioned to me, particularly before charging me for additional service beyond what I originally came in for, and especially with my toddler's car seat clearly visible in the back seat. So thankful the sub frame didn't give out before I was able to take it to some actual mechanics who let me know right away of the issue. Now I have to junk my car, because the repairs aren't worth it, and am out close to $2,000. Thanks for nothing Les Schwab. Never coming back.
