I had the most disappointing and lackluster customer service experience. I have been told since I relocated to Oregon that when I need tires, go to Les Schwab. If you need anything, Les Schwab has the most excellent customer service. So for the last several months, I have saved up to purchase an entire new set of tires from Les Schwab. I scheduled my appointment online, looked at all the tires, decided what was the best fit for me and my budget, and scheduled the appointment. I was extremely excited. It had been a long time since I could afford to put all new tires on my car, and I was excited to experience this legendary customer service that everybody spoke so highly about. I was initially greeted by a young man who asked if I was here for tires. I said yes, I have an appointment. He asked did you select tires? I told him yes indeed I had. He then proceeded to walk back into the customer service area, didn't offer to check me in, didn't say anything else to me. I walked up to the counter where I was greeted by another exuberant young man who talked to me about siping my tires, which I'm pretty sure I politely declined, but was definitely charged for, He asked if I had selected tires. I said I had, which I had already informed someone prior to walking in the door. He looked at the tires I selected. He said, "I don't think we have these in stock." I said that's odd because I just made the appointment three days ago. He looked and said, "Oh well maybe we saved them when you booked your appointment." Highly eager to sell but not eager to service. I got a call shortly after dropping it off and was told that my tire pressure light was on. I said I knew that, it's been on, but I had also selected a service that said tire pressure monitor service. I was told that that was not included and I had not selected the right thing, that that service to replace the tire pressure monitors would be an additional $67 per tire. I was also informed that it would be a a mandatory repair if it had not existed prior to arrival at the shop. I did not have that funding and I politely declined. Shortly thereafter, I got another phone call stating that they could not do the alignment and giving me a laundry list of things that needed to be done to my vehicle in order for me to even get an alignment. Those estimates totaled $2300. I am in a 13 Lexus RX350 and have driven Toyota products my whole adult life and never had any of the issues that were listed to me not even in an 03 4Runner with 264k miles on it. Of course, I did not have that type of funds either. Upon arriving, no more than 30 minutes later, I did not see my car out front and ready, the parking lot was empty, I went in to customer service. I was greeted briefly by the young man who had a laundry list of things that needed to be done to my vehicle and said here's your estimates. Didn't go over them, didn't afford me any time to ask any questions, just handed me the estimates and told me the next person would check me out. I waited. The lady who checked me out asked me if I had any questions. I said lots. She glazed over it, went about her business of handing me the credit card swiper so that I could pay my $756.84 for new tires, $200 practically of which is labor alone. As I was reviewing my invoice, another customer came in, a man, in a BMW, she was eager to help him, answered his questions and ignored me completely while I tried to pay my bill, did not ask if I needed any assistance, if I had any additional questions, did not even thank me for coming in or spending my hard-earned money with Les Schwab, when I could have gone many other places. Not a thank you, not a goodbye. I asked where my car was. I was told it's across the street at the overflow lot. I said which direction is that? I was told "across the street" again. I walked outside quite disillusioned and disheartened and really wildly disappointed. The completely dismissive nature of the entire experience was disheartening at best. In todays economy $750 is a lot of money. I would never go back. Not even for air.

Had multiple good experiences at this location, and don't feel like I am being taken for a ride. When they have recommended services after an inspection they have been necessary fixes, and not upselling for the sake of upselling.
Overall fast service, offers a lot in one location, very convenient.

I visited the Portland Les Schwab location for a quick service check, and the team went above and beyond. I was greeted immediately upon arrival, and the staff was both professional and incredibly efficient. They resolved my issue quickly and kept me informed the entire time. The transparency and world-class customer service are exactly why I keep coming back. Highly recommended!

I had an incredible experience at Les Schwab this morning. I came in to get a screw removed from my tire, and from start to finish, the entire team blew me away.
While waiting, I couldn't help but notice how pleasant, welcoming, and genuinely kind every single employee and mechanic was. That kind of consistently great customer service is rare to find at an auto shop, and you can tell they’ve built a wonderful work environment.
On top of working quickly, they amazed me by repairing my tire and rotating all four for free! I am truly impressed by this team and their fantastic attitude. I will absolutely be back when it's time to purchase a new set of tires. Thank you for such a great experience!

I initially went to Les Schwab because I had a nail in my tire. The appointment system was easy and efficient, and the check-in and check-out process went smoothly; they stuck to the estimated turnaround time. After a 90-minute wait, the staff told me everything was good, the nail was removed, the pressure was corrected, and they handed me a printout with the stats.
However, about two weeks later, my tire pressure light came on again. I returned to the same shop as a walk-in. They helped me immediately, checked the pressure, added air, and told me it should be fine but noted that if it continued, I would need a new tire. Since the car is new, the tires are brand new, and the nail was in a patchable location, I left feeling confident.
Later that day, I checked the tire to see if I had picked up a new nail, only to discover that the exact same nail was still in the tire and had never been patched.
It was extremely frustrating to realize I had waited 90 minutes during my first visit for a service that wasn’t actually performed, and that they clearly hadn't removed and properly assessed the tire. While their customer service and front desk staff are polite and quick during walk-ins, the technicians missed a glaring issue. I had to go to another tire shop to get the issue fixed.
