- ATAnthony TApr 21, 20261.0BEWARE: Stripped Oil Pan & Refusal to Take Responsibility I am writing this to warn other customers about the lack of accountability at this location. Valvoline has been the sole service provider for my last three oil changes. During a previous visit, their technicians stripped the threads on my oil pan and installed a "piggyback" plug—a temporary fix used to mask damage—without informing me of the permanent damage. That temporary fix is now failing and actively leaking. I opened a formal claim on March 30th and provided a professional repair estimate of $1,300 on April 1st. After 14 business days of silence, the shop and area manager verbally denied the claim but never provided their findings or a denial in writing. When I asked for further escalation, I was told it would require a "subpoena." Because of this lack of transparency and refusal to fix damage they documented with their own repair part, I have officially filed a consumer complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice Case #988510. If you value your vehicle’s engine, be very careful here. I will update this review once the state’s investigation is complete.
