  This is a PSA to anyone driving through here and needing Diesel. If you have to get it here and it is after hours you have to download the Sinclair Dinopay app. ( we didn’t have service so had to use the hotel WiFi) there is no card reader for diesel. Hope this helps a fellow weary traveler.

  The place closes down well before 10. These pumps have got to be the slowest gas pumps on the planet. And the condition of the gas station makes me wonder about the accuracy of the pumps. It's overpriced do not get gas here

  Beware, this place looks to be hanging by a thread! With Rome Station gone, this is the only gas for a lot of miles in this area. We stopped here one day during Memorial Day weekend 2026 and were able to get gas (and water behind the building). However, the storefront was locked up and even though there were people inside, they waved me off when I tried to ask a question. The sign out front says "Business for sale" and it looked pretty run down. We did get gas though. We returned the very next day and the pumps were not working and there was nobody around. There were several desperate people looking for gas and the machines would just hold the card for a bit, then fail. Luckily we have a rule of "never pass up an opportunity to refuel" in these sorts of areas, so we were fine and headed on to burns. I dunno if the others eventually got gas or not, but it wasn't looking good. I really appreciate these places being here, in the middle of nowhere and I try to give them as much business as I can, but it's looking pretty bleak for this area. Leaving town, the sign says "next gas 101 miles" and they're talking about Mcdermitt on the border of Nevada. It's 137 miles to Burns. We were coming south, but if we had been desperate, it'd be Nampa, ID or Nyssa, OR (which still has a thriving local gas station BTW).
