Our purchasing experience at Bob Moore Kia was great. Our sales person, Jerry Elizardo was extremely patient, willing to make sure all our questions were answered and that we got the car we wanted at a great price. This was our 3rd purchase with Jerry and he’s the greatest.

Would not ever let my clients purchase a vehicle for here! Unfortunately, my friend purchased a brand new Kia from them and not even 25,000 miles and alternator is out. They were told it was due to him changing the oil himself. This is beyond rare!!!! The amount of oil that would need to seep in to cause would be noticeable for even a novice changing oil. After denying their claim a letter from Kia was sent out stating oil leaking from engine. Now THIS would absolutely render damage to an alternator. On a brand new car they have treated beyond rudely. Scroll through reviews this is a common occurrence.

I am an Active Duty Army Soldier, a college student, and a father of three. My wife drives a 2024 Kia Telluride with only around 25,000 miles, and it is our family’s primary vehicle for transporting our children. Recently, the alternator failed, and before bringing it in, we had the charging system tested at O'Reilly Auto Parts, where the test indicated the alternator was bad.
Because the vehicle has such low mileage, we believed this repair would clearly fall under warranty coverage. We brought the vehicle to Bob Moore Kia on 5/9 around 10:00 AM for inspection and replacement of the alternator. I was upfront with them from the beginning that I change my own oil to save money. I have maintained my own vehicles for over a decade and have been doing oil changes since I was 15 years old.
Later, my wife received a call stating the warranty claim was being denied because oil had allegedly dripped onto the alternator and caused it to fail. The issue is that the photos they provided as “evidence” show only a very small amount of oil residue on the exterior of the alternator. There was no visible physical damage, and even one of the photos they referenced regarding the “circuit boards and diodes” appears completely dry.
Since then, I have spoken with three independent mechanics — two from Kingfisher and one from Hennessey — and all three told me essentially the same thing: oil residue on the outside of an alternator would not normally cause the alternator itself to fail internally.
What made this experience even more frustrating was the long list of additional services they attempted to recommend and charge us for after denying the warranty claim. They pointed out the air filter, recommended cleaning the oil filter housing for an additional fee, suggested fuel system services, throttle body cleaning, A/C services, wheel balancing, and more — totaling thousands of dollars in suggested repairs and maintenance. Ironically, their own inspection report marked the engine oil and many major systems as “passed.”
The battery recommendation also made little sense to me. O'Reilly Auto Parts had already tested the battery and said it was still good. Of course the battery tested lower than normal — the alternator was failing and not properly charging it.
At the end of the day, it feels like I am being penalized for trying to responsibly maintain my family’s vehicle and save money by performing basic maintenance myself. Instead of honoring what should reasonably be a warranty repair on a low-mileage vehicle, I feel like they searched for any possible reason to deny coverage and push additional paid services.
During the inspection, there was heavy focus placed on oil residue around the oil filter housing and alternator area, including multiple photos being shown to us. As someone who has maintained my own vehicles for years, it honestly felt embarrassing and as though I was being blamed for the issue before the alternator failure itself was fully considered. What made this more frustrating was later receiving an official Kia warranty extension notice acknowledging known oil leak issues in this same area on 2020–2025 Kia Telluride vehicles.
Now, because the warranty was denied, I am facing military orders at the end of the month while my wife and children risk being left without reliable transportation. I ultimately had to purchase my own alternator and prepare to repair the vehicle myself.
I also have documentation and photos from the inspection to support everything stated above.

I have had the best experience with Zach Dillon, Evan B, Jordan W, John P, and last but not least John from finance. They took a loss helping me because they cared about my family and me. I talked to so many different dealerships that day and Zach was the only one that wanted to help and he did whatever it took to make sure I was free from 90k in debt. This was probably the hardest deal to ever work and all these guys worked together like a team to make my dream come true and to free me from 90K of debt. I cannot say enough about them. I will say tell the truth what’s happing in your life especially if you’re in a bind or something like that, tell them what you need they will make it happen. Feels so good to be free today I just want to smile and cry at the same time. Thanks for all your hard work we love Bob Moore!!!!! But they wouldn’t be great without all you guys!!!!! My family is so happy, and I have a nice Jeep whooo wooo !!!! We love you guys !!!!!!

I’m not a person to leave reviews but the experience I had here led me to leaving one. My car originally had gone there for service and I was told a great number to just trade it in and get something new. I got down there and was told multiple different prices for my trade in. Keep in mind they have had my car for 2 weeks so they could have had an exact number for me when I got there after driving 2 hours. I test drove a car and absolutely hated it so I clearly wasn’t going to buy it. The salesperson kept trying to talk me into in after I stated I didn’t like it several times I finally just had to walk out and leave me car there as I didn’t have a way to getting it back home right then. I came down to just saying I’ll just have them buy it outright after they said they would. I called a little less than a week later asking if they could tell me how much they would buy it for. The guy said my boss just went to service to see what was wrong with it so we can get you an exact number for it give me a call in 15 minutes. I called him back and he says “he went to lunch I think I haven’t gotten to him yet”. Well why did you tell me he was going to check it and for me to call you back. I waited 2 hours texted the guy and called him and he never got back to me. I called to the store multiple times after that and after I asked for the manger it would just hang up on me. I finally was just like have my keys ready at 9am and I’ll pick it up and won’t buy a car through you guys. They had no problem with it. I hate having to post this but this was my first experience on my own buying a car and it was horrible and won’t go back. I hope this gets brought up so nobody has to go through this again. Thank you!
