No stars I am formally reporting a highly unprofessional and unacceptable experience at AutoZone. I visited your store to purchase a battery for my mother-in-law’s vehicle and provided the correct year and model information. During the interaction, the employee appeared to view personal information on my phone and immediately attempted to steer me toward the most expensive battery options ($375–$400) and unnecessary add-ons. This conduct felt predatory and inappropriate. When I declined and requested more reasonable options, the employee’s attitude became dismissive and hostile. He continued attempting to upsell items that were not required for a basic battery replacement. I then asked for a simple printout of the battery information so I could compare pricing. He refused, told me “it’s on the screen,” and walked away from me. When I asked for his name, he refused to provide it. Upon contacting the store, I was told the individual may have been Roberto or Alex. This behavior reflects extremely poor customer service, lack of transparency, and a disregard for basic professionalism. I expect this matter to be escalated and reviewed internally, including identifying the employee involved and addressing the conduct appropriately. If this is the standard of service at this location, it is unacceptable. I will not return, and I will be sharing this experience publicly if it is not addressed.
