  Dealing with Alamo was uncomplicated, quick, and easy. The car itself was very loud and you felt every bump. Alamos service was great, the car not so much. But it got me from point A to point B so that is all that really matters.

  We had a very disappointing experience with Alamo after renting a car in Puerto Rico. After we returned the vehicle, we received an email claiming we had been issued parking tickets. When we started asking questions, the story kept changing. We were initially told there were two tickets, but later only one could be found. The ticket was supposedly issued in Carolina, even though we never stopped there and our route didn’t even take us through that area. Getting clear information or documentation was incredibly difficult, and we ended up spending hours trying to verify a charge that didn’t make sense. As customers, we expected better transparency and better support when disputing something like this. I recommend keeping detailed records of your trip and carefully reviewing any traffic or parking charges Alamo sends after your rental. Based on our experience, the process was confusing, time-consuming, and left us with very little confidence in how these claims are handled. Edit: Alamo now wants to work with me to figure everything out. I appreciate that, but honestly, this would have been nice during the hours and on the different days I called trying to get some basic information about why we received one or both of these tickets. At the time, Alamo couldn’t provide any information beyond telling us that we owed $325 for two tickets issued at the same time for parking in a town we never visited, on a day and at a time when we were actually sleeping. I would have been much more understanding if someone had simply been willing to look into the situation and provide some details from the beginning.
