- TDThomas DApr 16, 20262.0After using Safelite for 3 or 4 windshields in the last year or two I called them for another replacement. It was a potential stress warranty claim. The tech arrived on site at an office. I was not there but multiple staff were onsite in the small office. He called and told me the windshield would not be covered. He was told to get it replaced and stated that I would have to pay first. I told him that the office manager inside would cut him a check. I then lost signal and dropped the call at just after 11:56. At 12:01 I got him back on the phone, he confirmed he had heard what I said about the payment before the phone disconnected, but just assumed I hung up so he left without ever completing the repair or going inside or anything! Less than 5 minutes ! The attitude and mannerism of the installer was so bad that I finally asked him if I had done something to offend him or did something wrong. Years as a loyal customer having them replace multiple windshields has now been ruined by the action of 1 installer. While the past repairs have been 5 star, this last refused repair was such a horrible experience that I will no loner use Safelite for any repairs. I can not afford to take vehicles off the road for them to just sit while the installer simply drives away from an approved full price replacement!!!!
