- SSSandy SampselSep 17, 20265.0Nick, the General Manager @ the location in Goshen, Oh. Gave me the best service. I went to Autozone to have them check my car battery. The gentleman checked it & I formed me my battery needed replaced. He then told me, I can sell you a battery but I can’t install. You’ll have to call a mechanic. It’s 8pm and I’m on day 3 with issues. He then said, you could go to Advanced Auto parts. They’ll install it for you. As I explained this to Nick @ Advanced Auto parts, he was disgusted. Told me they send customers to them all the time. He said, I can’t imagine doing that to people and leave them stranded. He went the extra mile while installing my battery- saw a Cpl things loose under my hood and fixed it too. Thank you Nick for helping me out tonight.

I took it in close to closing time but Ed got it tested and had a new one ready in no time. There was a tiny glitch with processing it but they took care of it and made sure I got what I needed. Very knowledgeable and helpful, thanks guys! I’ll definitely be back

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
