Upon leaving, approximately three miles down the road, the oil light came on as well as the engine light, the vehicle was making terrible noises, and ultimately, the engine blew up. I spoke with the manager who sent a technician to the location. The technician sent the manager a picture on his phone of a dip-stick, indicating that it was full of oil. It was not! I checked the oil when I arrived at the scene and no oil registered on the dip-stick at all. I had the vehicle towed at my own expense. The manager ultimately admitted that when he viewed the camera at Valvoline, it showed that the technician got distracted after draining the oil and did not put any oil in my car. They agreed to put a motor in my car. However, when the reputable automotive mechanic here in middletown gave them the quote for a new motor they decided to just pay me the blue book value on the vehicle. I asked them to at least give me a check for the amount that I still owed on the car and they declined. I came out of pocket for $477.65 to make up the difference between the check they sent me for $3,700 and the amount owed to pay off the vehicle. I did not go there to sell my car. I could not afford to take the oil Company that owns Valvoline to court. My household is down a car that was used to get my daughter-in-law to work every day. If anyone were interested in looking into it, they would find that I am not the only member of this community who lost a car due to Valvoline failing to put oil in a motor they were servicing. Not by a long shot!
