I was there early today, about 15 minutes prior to them opening. All over my seats and trunk were wheels and tires I had saved for a year and a half from a Toyota Matrix I used to drive. The Corolla I was driving I had purchased with the intent to unite them with new tires and the wheels I had been saving. I was excited to finally get these wheels on. There is an employee there who basically undermined the whole point of saving these wheels. I remember this being the same employee who broke off the wheel studs on my wife's vehicle on a previous visit by overtightening the lug nuts with the air hammer. In 90 degree summer heat I replaced those studs while it was parked street side, causing me more than a bit of discomfort. Today, I brought in my wheels and while the same employee was using the balancing machine he broke my Toyota centercap. The whole point of those wheels were the centercap. Should I have to remove them to protect them from a careless person who damaged people's property? No. This person has been working there for some time and should have built experience handling things with some level of care. Finding those ancient centercaps may be very difficult and costly. He ruined a year and a half of planning. I was going to take the wheels home and clean them and give them fresh paint. What's the point now if I can't find a replacement?

My boyfriend got their at 2:52 to have his four new tires put on, they didn't get to him until 5:10 he said the two guys went inside earlier and was eating pizza, I said I would have left after waiting the first hour and he said he couldn't because he couldn't get out. I will never go to this shop just for the fact my boyfriend is still their!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Don's Tire Center

What is the proper air pressure for my tires?

Tire pressure requirements differ significantly among vehicles. For most cars manufactured since 1968, the recommended tire size and inflation pressure, including for the spare tire, can be found on a vehicle placard. This placard is typically located on the driver's side door jamb, glove box door, fuel door, or in the engine compartment. Ford vehicles often have this information on the rear passenger door jamb. For trucks, tire pressure varies based on the vehicle's load, but general pressure guidelines can be found in the truck's manual. It's advisable to check tire pressure when the tires are cool, preferably before driving.

Why is it important to rotate my tires?

Tire rotation is crucial for vehicles, especially those with front-wheel or four-wheel drive. While these drive systems provide excellent traction, they can cause uneven tire wear. Regular rotation helps prevent rear tire cupping and excessive front tire wear. We advise rotating tires every 5,000 miles or every second oil change to maintain optimal tire performance and longevity.
