  I brought my car into the NTB Mentor location yesterday to have the rear driver's side tire checked due to a slow leak. The salesman told me the computers were down, that they were backed-up due to that, and the wait time would be ~2 hrs before they could bring it inside to look at it. I decided to leave my car and walked over to a local restaurant to have lunch. After lunch I walked back over to NTB and sat in the waiting room. I watched through the window as my CR-V was brought into the bay and the technician quickly located the shiny nail in one of the grooves of the tire that caused the leak. After ~15 mins, the leak was repaired and I went up to the front desk to pay. I looked at the salesman in disbelief when he told me that the repair would be NC, since the computers were down and I had to wait so long. (He even told me that he had moved me up the list to get me in sooner.) The salesman's only request was that I write a positive review about the store on Google and that is exactly what I am doing. Charge or no charge - I would go back to NTB Mentor location without hesitation for the service.

  Dropped my car off at 8 am for a scheduled appointment for new tires. I was told my car would not be ready for 5-6 hours, I had planned on waiting the two hours and now needed a to call for a ride or was told to go shop the place for 6 hours. No problem. I got a ride. Did not get a call for pickup by 2 pm so I called, sure enough my car was done. However, my invoice had to be emailed because something was down on their end, no problem. I arrived to pick up my car and asked to see the bill (on the computer screen since the couldn’t print it). I started asking question about the line item charges and the employee behind the counter became defensive. I have never bought tires or received car service where they didn’t go over the bill line by line. I wanted to make sure the prices were correct, the credit for booking online was applied and the instant rebate was applied. The employee continued to be rude as he read/barked each line of my bill rather than explain what the charges were for, I could read the dollar amounts. All this time the manager was sitting 2 feet away listening to how this employee was treating a paying customer. There is no reason to be rude to anyone, I just spend $1,300 and wanted to see the detail, is that so bad? I don’t think it was too much to ask. Very disappointed in the Mentor NTB. I have sent countless friends to them because they were always so nice and helpful. My car rides great, so the service team was excellent and deserves a 5 star.

  NTB is always fast, friendly, and reliable. They never overestimate what needs to be done and are always upfront and honest about the service you actually need. The team is knowledgeable, quick to get the work done, and consistently over-delivers. Jim especially is great - personable, knowledgeable, and always welcoming. It’s nice having a place you can trust to take care of you without trying to sell you on things you don’t need. Always a great experience!

  The service at NTB Mentor was exceptional. I brought my car in for a tire repair after scheduling only a half hour in advance. The repair was very fast and the staff was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend NTB for any future tire needs.

  I live an hour away and picked up a nail in my tire. Desperate to make it home safely, I stopped by this NTB begging for help. The experience with the first employee (a bald, larger man) was completely uncalled for. Instead of calmly explaining their wait time or kindly recommending other local shops since I'm not from the area, he was yelling in my face with zero empathy. While I understood that it would take hours, I simply asked if someone could take ten seconds to look at the tire to confirm it was even repairable before we both wasted our time. He refused to step outside to take a quick glance. The only saving grace was his coworker, who took the initiative to come outside, inspect the tire, and even offer to fill it with air so we could safely get down the street to find another option. Basic decency and customer service go a long way, especially when someone is stranded. The second employee deserves a raise, but the aggression and lack of care from the first means I will never recommend this location.
