- JSJustis Slay3 days ago1.0My friend's car broke down yesterday evening with a difficult part to track down. He didn't have AAA and had barely started getting in paychecks to afford starting to fix the car and a local person was kind enough to bring his car a block up the road to this location still AN HOUR from his house. He had work the next day and was desperately trying to get the car sorted out when this store called him and threatened to call a tow truck company on him if he didn't have it moved by 3pm today, and despite him being there attempting to get his car in limp mode to move it out of their precious parking spot, they called it on him anyway. I've never seen a business be so rude and uncalled for, and for an auto parts store in particular I can't believe they can't be sympathetic to someone in a tight spot trying to get their car back on the road. I heard there was a new O'Reilly store in town and I encourage people to go there or anywhere else that isn't here.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.
How much does a car battery cost?
A traditional lead/acid car battery can range between $60-$120. HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
