I went into the store a little shy and embarrassed because I don't know anything about car maintenance and even to the littlest thing, I always feel awkward asking for help. But the employees at Advance Auto Parts on Broadway, specifically an employee named "Seth", he didn't make me feel that way at all. He was so helpful. He came out, took a look at the batter and knew exactly what was wrong, went back inside, came out with his tools, did a little magic and bam, battery was fixed and car was purring again! Seth is an asset to Advance Auto Parts and whenever I have any issues with my Nissan, or need any parts for my it, I'm going to Seth cause I trust him and I know he will take great care of me!!!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
