- KCKimberly Coffman3 days ago1.0My father came into your North St. store today to drop off his used oil. The tanks were full. It was the second location he had gone to so he asked the store associate (older man working morning of 8/31), if he had the ability to contact any other stores to see if their tanks were full, so he would know where could take his oil. The associate was unnecessarily rude and asked my father, “Don’t you have a phone?”, to imply he can call himself because he certainly wasn’t going to help him. If he didn’t have the time, that’s understandable but he still could have behaved like a decent human being. You may want to consider moving him to a role within the company that isn’t customer-facing.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
