When looking for a rental car, I tried to avoid going to the airport altogether. That location told me it was in Baggage Claim - makes sense - but I might as well fly, rather than road trip.
I found this location 20 minutes from home, and researched costs and reviews. There were a few older reviews that worried me about availability, because I was headed to my son's wedding in Arizona and just couldn't be delayed.
But I have to say, it was one of the nicest experiences I've had renting a car for a road trip. I got the car and the employee who helped me was kind and helpful. I was upgraded to a 2024 Audi SUV (I was uneducated but now understand that this was QUITE the upgrade surprise). The car did have some MMI/tire pressure sensor issues that worried me, so I drove back and he verified, etc. (I did end up driving over 3K miles with the less-threatening low pressure light on, but that's not unusual - I'm guessing 90% of us have this happen.)
Return was busy - and again, only one employee working (they explained that managers had had to shift locations causing a shortage). I guess I aged and lost a little of my mind upon return, because after waiting in line for about 15 minutes with the others, a customer came in while the rest of us were talking and said, "You're just here to return? Don't they have a lockbox to do that?"" I wanted to scream and explain that I really did used to know things. LOL!.
But the cost was exactly as presented and everything was fine. And now, of course, I want a new car!
Thank you for getting me to the church on time and for a very nice, albeit busy, experience. I will be back for more road trip rentals until I win the new car purchase lottery. And I hope you get new employees sent your way soon.
