Went back to return the items that I did not need. Unfortunately the bar code on my receipt would not scan. They tried to look it up, the cashier never attached it to my account, so they said they could give me store credit. Ok. I was fine with that. But apparently 2 if the items (interior touch up paint) is not returnable. So i was lied to. Im assuming because the cashier that sold the items to me seemed a bit arrogant and irritated with my questions, he did not seem to care about the possibility of a return if I needed to. Will NEVER go to or reccomend Advanced auto ever again. Thank goodness for my other auto stores more local to me whose staff is always willing to help a "dumb girl" out.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
