    Unfortunately, my recent experience with Tuffy was disappointing and fell well below my expectations. For straightforward services such as tire repairs or basic maintenance, Tuffy may be adequate. However, if your vehicle requires diagnostic work or troubleshooting to identify the cause of engine lights, performance issues, or other complex problems, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Communication: Poor Throughout the entire process, my wife and I were consistently forced to initiate contact for updates. At no point did communication feel proactive or customer-focused. Diagnostic Process: Poor The level of investigation, documentation, and explanation provided was minimal. We were given little information regarding what was found, why certain repairs were recommended, or what evidence supported those recommendations. Tuffy Gahanna had our vehicle for a day and performed a repair they could not adequately demonstrate was necessary. More importantly, the original issue was not resolved. What followed was over a week of repeated visits, additional troubleshooting, and continued uncertainty. The burden created by this process extended far beyond the repair itself. My wife invested significant time, fuel, and energy making multiple trips and rearranging her schedule to accommodate their inability to accurately diagnose the problem. Eventually, that burden shifted to me as well, requiring additional travel, childcare arrangements, missed personal time, and expenses. The overall experience was both frustrating and unnecessary. Based on our experience, the diagnostic capabilities and technical expertise required for more advanced automotive issues appeared to be lacking. Customer Service: Poor After expressing our dissatisfaction and escalating the matter to management, the customer service experience deteriorated further. The Regional Manager was dismissive and unwilling to acknowledge the stress, inconvenience, and financial burden caused by the situation. Because proper documentation, photographs, and detailed reporting were never provided, management could offer little more than assurances based solely on the word of their technicians. In the end, there was no meaningful accountability, no confidence in the diagnosis, and no satisfactory resolution. We will not be returning to Tuffy, nor would I recommend them for diagnostic or repair work beyond basic services. I encourage others to seek a shop that stands behind its mechanics and supports its recommendations with clear documentation, photographs, detailed explanations, and transparent communication so customers can understand exactly where—and why—their money is being spent.

    Today is the day my nearly 15-year relationship with Tuffy is ending. Every car I’ve ever owned has been serviced here, with great customer care and honest communication. Lately this hasn’t been the case - whether it be short staffing or just a refusal to hire office staff, the manager is constantly overwhelmed and seems to have not a clue how to organize himself or provide better customer service. I called on Wednesday before dropping my vehicle off to be sure it could be serviced/looked at on Thursday. Described on the phone that I think it’s a specific part based on the manufacturer’s advice, and that I also needed my brakes serviced. Get a verbal confirmation & hurried off the phone that they can do it. Drop the car off at 8am Thursday, haven’t heard anything by 3pm so we give them a call. No work has been done - okay, sure, I’ll let my manager know I’ll have to work from home again. 4pm Friday rolls around, haven’t heard from Tuffy all day. We call them ourselves again, and the car has still not been touched. It was test driven and we were told “it’s the transmission so I wanted to call you before doing the brakes”. When, exactly should we have expected that call? 2 full business days and not a damn thing proactively communicated or done to the car, so we deny all services and just go to pick it up. No apologies made. No attempts at salvaging the frustration caused. I walk in to my keys being dangled by Mike, and per usual, too busy to actually provide me any sort of decent customer service. Extremely disappointing. Update: Took the car to another local shop, tire pressure issues that Tuffy had previously “inspected” and cleared the sensor for on a different visit was apparently a nail stuck in my tire. Brakes were replaced - opposite end of the car from what Tuffy had recommended. Generally got more confirmation that my car hadn’t been properly serviced or looked at previously.
