  wish I could give 0 stars.. I have a trusted mechanic ive seen for nearly a decade, however had a slow leak in a tire that needed fixed asap. I was in the area so I stopped by to get it repaired assuming it’d be a quick fix. They noticed I was nearing an oil change so offered, I agreed since I was already there, although I never stray from my mechanic. Once they lifted my car, they pulled me in the bay to say they refuse to touch my oil plug and won’t do it, because I needed a new plug and entire oil pan.. for $900+.. I told them no, to which they said they patched my leaky tire for free because they “felt so bad” and told me to never go back to my mechanic.. tire light came on the next morning, went to my trusted mechanic who said I have TWO screws in my tire (saw with my own eyes) and no signs of a patch or seal anywhere. Oil pain & gasket in mint condition. They also tried to sell me a rear differential for $300 which my car doesn’t even have and a $30 balancing fee on my less than 1 year tires.

  I've been going here for 5 years, it's gone downhill in the past year or two. Consistent issues with re-scheduling confirmed appointments. When I do manage to get in they're always trying to sell me on new tires whether I need them or not.

  I have been a customer of this Mr Tire for over 15 years. I always come back because the service is excellent. Tom, the manager, and Gary the technician are particularly helpful and go through extra mile to make sure the customer leaves with everything done right.

  At first, thought the experience was ok, altho was leery of the price quote for 4 spark plugs/replacement, which I needed immediately. Tom (Mgr.) was nice & helpful overall, altho I got a diagnosis elsewhere, which he stated was not valid (really???). I get he wanted to charge for the diagnostic @ $130. (He said he gave me a reduced price!) I was told by others who know, this was an overcharge. (Should be $80-$110/ diagnostic?) Next, I was def grossly overcharged for 4 spark plugs; again checked w/pros who know & Google. For 4 NGK spark plugs, should be $10-$15@ at retail, so $40-$60 max for 4. I paid $234.64! (was charged $ $58.66@ !!) The total bill should hv been $200-$400 max for 4 plugs, labor. I paid almost $500. * Lesson....if you're a woman, beware of these unscrupulous up-charges. When a man sees you walk in alone, they see $ signs & gross overcharges to make their day for the co. Needless to say, I will never return to Mr. Tire, 111 Ghent Rd. Akron, OH. I was cheated, plain & simple. Try to get an estimate before. I could not, as I had bad driving vibration & needed immediaye attention. They lost me forever as a customer. Not good biz practices!
