Within 24 hours of picking the vehicle up, I was driving with my children and experienced exhaust fumes entering the cabin, particularly while idling. I developed a headache and nausea afterward that lasted for several hours. The dealership later identified and repaired a faulty exhaust clamp. While I appreciate that the issue was ultimately fixed, my concern is that the vehicle was returned to us in an unsafe condition following a significant repair. Exhaust gases can include carbon monoxide, which is odorless and poses a real safety risk, making it critical that these types of issues are identified prior to vehicle release. We asked for clarification on how this was missed and what safeguards are in place to prevent similar situations, but did not receive a clear answer. We also attempted to work toward a resolution with dealership leadership, but the response did not reflect the seriousness of the situation. I would encourage others to ask detailed questions about post-repair inspections and safety checks before taking their vehicle home.
