Referred to me by a colleague, I worked with Nia at TWC Mini to select my Mini. He’d had an awesome experience with Nia and suggested I call her.
Indeed she and her TWC Mini team found me the perfect Mini!
To anyone considering getting a new vehicle I’d strongly encourage them to call Nia. It wasn’t a “traditional” car buying experience…
…Instead, zero pressure. Nia and her TWC Mini team, including Bina Trivedi, were simply available to hear me, listen to my preferences and needs, and deliver. It felt more like “great shopping with friends.”
I’ve found the perfect dealer in TWC Mini going forward. Many thanks to each of them!
I hate getting my car serviced. The best I used to able to say about it was at least they don't weigh me there. That all changed when I drove into the service bay at Mini of Dublin. Shane Moody greeted me by name as I exited my car, walked me through the services I needed that day, kept me informed throughout my time with them, then walked me out to my car - OPENED THE DOOR FOR ME - and showed me how to check the health of my car. He was outstanding. Truly made me feel valued and respected. He was professional, considerate, and extremely knowledgeable. I am now doing the impossible - looking forward to my next service appointment. See for yourself. Truly an amazing experience.
On a trip from Indianapolis to Philadelphia, my 2017 Mini Cooper had an issue with the battery not charging correctly. We stopped at the AutoZone in Hilliard, OH, to have the battery tested (it had been purchased at an AutoZone in Indianapolis about 1 year ago). Those diagnostics indicated the battery was ok, but the problem was still present.
We then proceeded to the Mini dealer in Dublin, OH, and talked with the service rep Theodor Aguirre. He was very friendly and thorough in his evaluation and without any appointment he got the car in for inspection. Turns out this was a “self inflicted wound” on my part as when I replaced the battery myself a year ago, I did not have the battery “registered” with Mini (I’ll admit that up until this past Thursday, I thought registering a battery was sending the warranty card back in).
So, since the car “did not know” I put in a new battery, it apparently thought the old, dead battery was still there. Hence the alternator was charging it as hard as it could, which ultimately killed the new battery over time.
None the less, thanks to Theodor the entire service department at Mini Dublin, the car was fixed (with the battery properly registered 🙄). Total time about 3 hours and we were back on the road!
I’m a retired engineer, so couldn’t help but have a few questions after all this. As for AutoZone, I believe their diagnostics were correct…the battery had been damaged to where only about 30% capacity remained, and it was charged to that 30% capacity. Hence, 100%.
As for Mini in general, not sure why they choose to have the alternator adjust its output based on a new battery being installed. They are complicated little cars, but in my experience worth it. They are immensely fun to drive and very reliable. I’ve had 2 Mini’s in the last 20 years…both manual transmissions, first one I had for 12-1/2 years, the second for the last 7-1/2 years. And this is the only time I’ve been sidelined due to an unexpected issue. And as I said earlier, this was self inflicted.
Thanks again to Theodor and Mini Dublin!

My check engine light was on and I had taken my 2010 Mini to another shop. They realized they did not have the tools to check the timing chain. At Mag Mini they checked all of the less expensive fixes and decided it was the timing chain. At every step they let me know what they were doing and sent me a video and an estimate for the next step. After replacing the timing chain my car runs like new! Shane was great at answering our questions and keeping the final invoice at a reasonable figure.

I would give 10 stars if I could! I have never been to a service department as amazing as this!
First, Theo was my service advisor and was warm and welcoming from the moment I first called about an appointment.
Justin was the service tech who worked on my car and was so thorough! He sent me two in depth videos showing and explaining things to me! It was then super easy for me to accept or decline the recommended work from the portal.
The icing on the cake was when I was having an awful time making it to pick my car up and was going to be late. Theo stayed late and really went above and beyond and this all makes me want to keep my Mini for a long time so I can continue to deal with the exceptional people who work here! Also, my car is running beautifully now! Had a 2 hour drive home in it after the repairs and it was a great drive!
