I took my car into Dave Dennis service department because my radio screen was not working. Everything else was working properly. I paid the diagnostic fee of $195 and was told that I needed a new radio and about five other things. I had to pay for the new radio that day and schedule my car in to have it installed. I took it back and they installed the radio and repaired most of the other things they indicated needed to be repaired. My husband usually fixes my car but was having some major health issues. After picking up my car, I had a Uconnect error on the radio screen but I had to drive to Indianapolis where my husband was hospitalized so I just called Serius radio and the reinstalled it for me. On my way to Indianapolis, my 4 wheel drive warning light came on and I noticed my assisted cruise control did not work. I ended up being in Indianapolis for about a month. My husband googled my issue and found the attached information in GPT.

I took it back to Dave Dennis. They requested I pay another diagnostic fee. I suggested they look at the GPT article and they were rude and request I pay another diagnostic fee. I refused. However , after they had my car for about three weeks, they called and told me they needed the diagnostic fee again. I paid it. They said my four wheel drive module needed replaced. I told them I did not want them to replace it or do anything to my car. When I went back to pick up my car, I got on 675. And discovered my car would only go 35 miles an hour. They failed to mention that issue to me and I feel fortunate I did not have an accident driving it home. My husband ordered the module that Dave Dennis said was bad and installed it. He took it to an independent dealer to have it flashed. This dealer requested all the paperwork from Dave Dennis and the module that my husband removed since Dave Dennis said it needed to be replaced. This dealer said the module that was removed had nothing wrong with it. My husband requested it be flashed however, the dealer said that was unnecessary because the actual problem was the battery that controls all the electronics in the car. My 2019 Jeep compass has two batteries. One to start it and one for the electronics. They also changed all the dashboard words to Spanish. Unfortunately I do not speak Spanish. So my car is fixed. No thanks to Dave Dennis. While all this was taking place, I’ve been driving my 2013 Hyundai with 215000 miles on it. I would recommend not purchasing a jeep and not taking it to Dave Dennis for service. Hyundai has great customer service and a great warranty.

Service center is absolutely by far the worst. This is my second time using them and hopefully will be my last. I entered the service center and it took 4 grown men sitting at computers almost a minute to acknowledge me. There were no cars in the shop and no other customers were in the area nor were any of the men on the phone. Finally someone asked if they could help me. After paying and receiving the paperwork, I asked if they rotated my tires. The guy ringing me up had no clue..
Another man looked at paperwork and said no. I asked why not and another man grabbed the paper....he said I was just going by the type of appointment and how it was scheduled. I said I couldn't physically schedule it on there computer, but I called and asked for an oil change, rotate my tires. I even wrote it on my over night slip. I got crickets. No sorry no nothing, just "I didnt see it and I was just going by the appointment scheduled". I dropped my car off overnight and picked it up at 4:45pm the next day. They close at 6pm. No offer to rotate before I left. There was also no call for an estimate, no call to tell me about a recall they needed to address. My husband called to see if the car was ready and was told it would be a little longer because they were fixing a recall that we had. We had no idea a recall was issued. Horrible customer service all the way around.

Going on a week without my vehicle for a part that was “supposed to take 2 days” to get. Dropped my truck off at 7:30 am on Thursday then had to call the service department myself at 5:00pm to get an update and the diagnosis. Which I was told that they needed to make a call to make sure insurance was going to cover the repairs. I wait until 1 PM on Friday and call again to which I was informed that the employee still had not made the call . Fast-forward 3 1/2 hours later I finally get a call back saying that it was covered and they had to order the parts and would take two days to receive the part. Because I have lost all faith in this employee to actually do their job, I call on Tuesday to make sure that the part actually got ordered, which I was told that it would be in Wednesday and that my truck would be done by the end of the day on Wednesday. And here we are on Wednesday and I’m sure we can all see where this is going , I once again had to call them to see what is going on with my truck. I call a little after 3 PM and after a few back-and-forth phone calls, I’m given yet another excuse as to why my truck is still not done. They stated that the technician is leaving in 15 minutes for the day ( at 4:10 pm?) and isn’t able to finish my truck today that should be done by noon tomorrow. So the plan is tomorrow whether they have my truck fixed or not. I am going to pick it up. I’m over their unacceptable excuses and now I am actually concerned if the repairs are even going to be done correctly. Needless to say this will be the absolute last time that I will ever go to this dealership.
