SCAM ALERT - DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!
EDITED TO ADDRESS STATEMENTS MADE IN SHOP'S REPLY:
First, I never stated that the additional components should have been "automatically replaced", I merely stated they should have at least been checked and according to what Paul told us after the initial repairs were completed, the bushings were in "bad shape". My point was, that should have been spotted during the initial repair, which was not "exactly" what was done in this case since she wasn't told the bushings needed to be replaced until AFTER she brought it back because of the loud creaking noises it was making upon leaving the parking lot of the shop after the first repair.
You did offer to replace the parts in question free of charge, however after an outside inspection from a certified mechanic, we were told the parts that had been "replaced" for free were the original 2019 parts that came on the car, not new parts. In addition, you stated that you have "documentation and verification" of all the repairs completed, however when my daughter asked for a receipt for the SECOND repair, she was told there was no receipt available since it was done at no cost. Therefore, SHE has ZERO documentation of what was repaired during the follow-up visit, just the original receipt from the struts and one tie rod.
I am hesitant to contact you directly because 1) Paul said he did not have an email address and 2) Paul is very disrespectful and dismissive in my opinion, especially when speaking with women. My review stands as is, so we can agree to disagree. Just be careful if you choose to use this shop.
My daughter took her Jeep to this auto repair shop and was absolutely ripped off and lied to about multiple things. She needed new struts and as every good mechanic knows, you replace the control arms, tie rods, bushings, etc. with the struts, at least CHECK these components. They just replaced the struts and ONE tie rod costing $1,500. When she drove her car out of the parking lot after the “repair” it was making loud creaking noises which tells me it was never test driven by the mechanic. I went with her to talk to the auto shop about fixing the creaking noises as part of the original repair and talked to Paul who stated he was the owner of the shop. He told us that the bushings were “blown” out and needed replaced for another $1,200. That should have been noticed when replacing the struts, especially if they were really that bad. Paul was very dismissive to us and spoke as if we were stupid. He told numerous lies, one of which you can’t buy aftermarket parts for the car which is 100% false. He finally agreed to put the needed parts on the car free of charge and also said he would rotate the tires and realign the car. After keeping the car another 2 days, my daughter picked it up and while it wasn’t making the creaking noises, it still didn’t drive right. She took it to a retired mechanic who checked it over and said the same original parts are still on the car (with the exception of the struts) and they greased the bushings to make the noises temporarily stop. The tires were never rotated either. This is a very shady place and can not be trusted. Total ripoff.
