My household and I collectively own 5 cars, we have relied on tire discounters several times to get work done and they have always done decent work.
This was my first experience waiting in their shop for my car and I would pay double to not have to do it again. I essentially was quoted a 1 hour service time, waited 4 hours in the shop for them to only complete 80% of the job, had the car for a day- splash guard falls off, call in to make an appointment to finish alignment and fix splash guard, was met with a very rude and defensive staff that did not want to correct the mistakes they made. I’m out $700, a bent splash guard, a half aligned vehicle, and multiple dreadful revisits where nothing has been resolved but my feelings getting re-hurt.
Full Experience:
I made an appointment on a Friday to get all four of my tires changed, an oil change, and an alignment totaling to about $700. I was unable to find a ride so I opted to wait for my car at the shop. Fully aware that it could take several hours, I planned it around my work schedule. I received a call almost immediately, informing me they have time available if I come into the shop now. They set time expectations for the work around 60-90 minutes if I waited. I was extremely grateful that they identified an opportunity for me to get in earlier.
The male front desk employee was extremely kind and helpful. He did his best to communicate with me, apologized when there were mishaps and even made me laugh before I left. Which was rather difficult, as I ended up waiting 4 hours in the waiting room for them to retrieve one of my tires from a different location that they weren’t aware wasn’t in stock. I was told this would take their manager “10 minutes”, in reality it ended up taking an additional 2 hours.
Then once my tires were finally changed, they did an oil change, and HALF of an alignment because the techs “aren’t very good at back tires, but your alignment is good for a year” basically stating they booked me for a service that they didn’t have staff onsite to complete properly (which is frustrating when the min wait time is probably around 2 hours for any service at this place).
I understand mistakes happen so I would’ve had zero issues bringing my vehicles back in the future because of the positive way the front desk employee handled it.
But I wish that was the end of it!
I got to drive my car for a whopping 10 hours before my splash guard on the bottom of my car started scraping on the road (it was not properly put back on my car after the oil change). Tried to fix it but by the time I got to a safe place to pull of the road I noticed the splash cover had bent. So at this point I called tire discounters to kill two birds with one stone, complete my alignment and remove my splash guard. I called the wrong location at Gemini and the individual was extremely friendly and said that I can bring my car over to them even though I didn’t get the service done there! (Will be doing in the future)
Then I called the Westerville location and was begrudgingly told I can bring my car in the next day. The difference in costumer service was stark. The female front desk employee with the blue eye shadow was extremely condescending when I explained the situation to her. She then told me I never made an appointment at all (which is inaccurate) and that I could be waiting hours for them to get me in for an alignment. Not one time did she apologize for the fact that I now have had to take off 2 days of work and spent several hours waiting to get a very simple service completed. AFTER IVE ALREADY PAID FOR IT. Nor did she attempt to rectify any part of the situation. I ended up telling her to take the guard off, as she was borderline blaming me for not managing my expectations when those expectations were created by her own staff and company.
I would’ve left a relatively positive review if I hadn’t been met with so much push back the second time I brought it in. But I don’t enjoy being blamed for a problem that I didn’t create.
GO TO A DIFF LOCATION !!! NOT WORTH IT!!!

Don’t go here if you value your life. They failed to tighten my lug nuts which caused one of my wheels to come loose within a couple hundred feet. I have documented conversations with the manager Deb and have yet to be reimbursed for this incident which could have ended significantly worse. Bottom line, it looks like my experience matches several others so avoid this location and possibly this company if you can.

When appointment was made they told me it would take 30 mins. It took 96 minutes. I also asked them to check tire pressure and brake fluid reservoir and they didn’t. Didn’t give me a coupon for my poor experience and I will never go back. All this after I spent over 700.00 for tires on a Chevy Trax.

I can't say enough about this place! Michael was very helpful getting me in and making sure my dually fit on the alignment rack. The tech did a great job and explained everything to me in detail. Truck drives great and would highly recommend this shop for your automotive needs! Honest, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Prices are very fair!
