National Car Rental Satisfaction Survey I have been using National Car Rental for quite some time, and as a proud Emerald Club member, I have consistently enjoyed an excellent experience. I truly appreciate the convenience, efficiency, and professionalism that National provides. The Emerald Club benefits make the rental process especially easy and seamless, from picking up the vehicle to returning it. The vehicles are generally clean and well maintained, and the staff have always been helpful and professional. National has earned my trust over the years, and I continue to choose the company because of the consistent quality of service. I would highly recommend National Car Rental and look forward to continuing as an Emerald Club member for many years to come.

When I arrive at the rental pickup, I go straight to the Emerald Aisle, pick my car, assuming there is more than just one, and go to the booth to check out. When I return, sometimes the person checking me in has a printer on them sometimes they don’t; my need for a paper receipt is more my employers thing than mine.

Do not use National Car Rental at Columbus. We identified damage in the vehicle prior to leaving the lot, told the attendant and the departure stand (said he was annotating it), then received a damage notice stating we owed them for the previously identified damage.

The process to walk up and choose the car always makes me feel special. Returning the car was great! Toney took good care of me and my daughter. He was very knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful! Shout out to Toney at CMH for the excellent customer service. I’m a leader in the industry, and was very impressed with his level of professionalism and service skills.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the handling of my lost iPad by National Car Rental's Lost and Found team. As an Emerald Club member for more than five years, I have always trusted National for my business and personal travel. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously shaken that confidence. On June 6, 2026, I returned my rental vehicle at the National Car Rental location at the Columbus, Ohio Airport. Shortly after arriving home, I realized that I had accidentally left my son's iPad in the seat-back pouch behind the driver's seat. Recognizing that the vehicle had only recently been returned, I immediately drove back to the Columbus Airport National location because I wanted the iPad located before the vehicle was rented to another customer. Rather than checking the vehicle or assisting me directly, I was instructed to return home and file a Lost and Found claim online. After returning home, I called the Lost and Found number listed on the website. The representative collected all of my information and assured me that a claim had been filed. However, when I called back two days later to check the status, I was informed that no claim had ever been submitted. I then had to file an entirely new claim myself. Two days later, I received an email stating that my son's iPad had been recovered at the Cincinnati, Ohio Airport. I subsequently received several phone calls confirming that the iPad had been found. On June 12, while I was still out of state, I called National again and informed the representative that I would be picking up the iPad upon my arrival at the Columbus Airport. The representative asked what time my flight would arrive, and I told her 1:00 PM. She assured me that everything had been arranged and that I simply needed to stop by the National counter in Columbus to retrieve the iPad. Trusting that assurance, I went directly to the National counter upon landing in Columbus. To my surprise, the representative there could find no record whatsoever indicating that an iPad had been located or transferred. The following day, I received an email from the Columbus Airport location stating that they had been unable to locate my iPad. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that, throughout this time, I continued receiving automated emails indicating that the iPad was still located in Cincinnati. As a customer, I received completely contradictory information from different National representatives, resulting in unnecessary travel, wasted time, and significant frustration. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. What should have been a straightforward lost-property recovery turned into a series of conflicting instructions, misinformation, and poor communication between your locations and Lost and Found team. As a loyal Emerald Club member for over five years, I expected much better. Instead, I have been left questioning whether National Car Rental still deserves my loyalty or whether I should move my business to another rental company that places greater value on customer service and communication. I respectfully request that National: Conduct a thorough investigation into what happened to my son's iPad. Determine why conflicting information was repeatedly provided by different representatives. Assign a single representative to follow this case until it is resolved. Explain the steps National will take to improve its Lost and Found process so other customers do not experience the same level of frustration. I would appreciate a prompt response and, most importantly, a genuine effort to locate and return my son's iPad. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Valentine Reference Number: 24187148
