  Had a reservation confirmed for a week, got 4 different confirmations on day of travel, showed up at 1:45am for my rental to be told "we don't have anything, good luck" direct quote. Called customer service to be told we are short staffed and someone will call you, because they are refusing to give me my money back. Customer service is clearly a call center following a script. The company as a whole is a joke. It was our first experience with the company and will for sure be the last. If their customer service reached out and offered me a full refund and free car, I would still decline because the service across the board is trash. 🗑🗑🗑

  There good until you need help. 2 hours every day on the phone and never resolved my problem. The last 2 hang on me. Im not going to get tired im going to keep calling.

  I chose Alamo specifically because they had much better reviews than the other rental companies at the airport. I reserved my rental and arrived ready to pay. I lost my wallet a couple weeks ago I am still waiting on physical card replacements so I took out my phone to pay. The attendant refused to help me or allow me to use Apple Pay. I offered to verify that I am the owner of these cards and bank accounts but he blamed corporate policy and told me I was out of luck. This is terrible. I had only 48 hours of vacation and am having to waste over an hour of it trying to sort this out, simply because Alamo refused to take my legal money. There was no disclaimer on the booking site stating that physical cards were a requirement. Nowhere does it explicitly preclude digital cards. The attendant cited fraud and company policy, which I totally understand, but this could have been rectified with simple human sense (ex: me showing him the capital one app and visually verifying the card number is linked to my name). Putting corporate policy above basic common sense and serving the customer leads to poor outcomes, and I will likely take my business elsewhere next time.

  I got charged an extra $12 ($6.5/gal) at checkout for Gas add-on when I returned the car tank FULL. When I confronted customer rep about it, they say they would take it off from my total. I was issued the refund. Couple days later, my card was charged again with $12. Carefully review your rental agreement when you book with this car rental company!
