The store manager was very helpful from beginning to end and never lost his cool. I came in with a dilemma and he listened to my problem, tested my battery and determined that I needed a new one. Came back the next day, and he installed the new battery for me, just as he said that he would. I would recommend this store, especially if you are a woman. They are not out to get you to buy something that you don't need, they are here to genuinely help you keep your car running and at the cheapest way. Their prices are the best around. I purchased a new battery, called a couple other places that are competitors and Advance Auto was the cheapest. So, give them a chance. I will be back. Oh and had my wipers replaced the day before too, under warranty and they stood by their word. Again, they are the best! The store manager is the best around. Thanks for all your help!

Jordan and Eric were very helpful in trying to get an rewards issue solved for me as I should've gotten $5 off. They weren't able to get it to work out 100% but both of these guys went above and beyond. Quality customer service seems to be hard to find these days but both of them nailed it! Thanks for the help guys!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
