I visited Valvoline for an oil change on Friday, June 19, and had a very disappointing experience.
From the moment I arrived, the service felt disorganized and unprofessional. I waited a long time before being helped, and there was a lot of unnecessary conversation among staff while customers were waiting. I was also asked to pull my car extremely close to another vehicle, which felt uncomfortable and unnecessary.
The staff appeared inexperienced and poorly coordinated. One employee tried to check me in even though I had already been checked in. During the vehicle inspection, he incorrectly told me my lights were not working, then admitted he was checking the wrong lights. This happened more than once, which made me question the staff’s attention to detail.
What stood out most was Sonia’s behavior. She came across as rude, bossy, and unprofessional throughout the visit. I overheard her tell another employee to offer me a service special but implied that I likely wouldn’t want it. When I accepted the offer, she seemed surprised and made comments that felt disrespectful. Her attitude during checkout was also unpleasant, especially when I provided a coupon—which is something customers are routinely asked about.
Additionally, no one clearly asked me what type of oil change I wanted or properly reviewed service options for my vehicle before beginning work.
Overall, this was the worst Valvoline experience I’ve had. The wait was excessive, communication was poor, and the customer service was unacceptable. The lack of professionalism at this location was extremely disappointing, and I will not return.
