  The "infotainment system" on my partner's Rav4 locked up and the dealer wanted $3k to replace it. I priced aftermarket units on Amazon and then started calling installers. I was willing to buy from a dealer but when I called Hook It Up, before I even finished my story I was told my best option would be to buy a unit from Amazon (with good reviews) and they would install it. I'm not going to quote the price but it was MUCH more reasonable than anyplace else I called, and the installation was done in about 2 hours. Plus, Trey took the time to help pair my partner's phone and explain the unit. She's not very tech friendly so that was a big help. Moreover, when I fixed one setting but messed up X-Car over the weekend, Trey got us squared away again at no extra charge. We're from the other side of town but well with the drive! Great service, great price, great folks, highly recommended!

  Left wires exposed on my back seat and scratched up control panel on my drivers door. Had an Appointment at 1pm he didn’t even speak to me for an hour and then took 5 hours to replace my amp in my subs and switch out speakers in doors. Forgot to install amp knob when I got my speakers installed and had to come back the next day to get it added. After that I noticed my door panel scratched up and the exposed wires and I reached out numerous times to the numerous numbers he contacted me from and only heard back from him after I left a one start review which I originally deleted because he text me and said he would fix it but since they didn’t fix it I’m deciding to leave it again. Extremely difficult to get in contact with, terrible communication. They were great 2 years ago when I first got my subs installed, quick, knowledgeable, did great work. Idk what’s happened since then but I will not be going back.

  I chose this place because it is Veteran owned! They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, welcoming, and the service to get new speakers and subwoofers was phenomenal! Kenneth found out my boyfriend was also a Veteran and gave a wonderful discount! I will definitely be going back for any future additions!!

  I hate to leave 3 stars because the owner and his employees are super friendly, but the quality of work done was not what I paid for. I bought an aftermarket radio and had them do the wiring after I did the hardware installation. They did it in 2 hours and got it working. However, I had to bring it back because the radio was not flush and barely hanging on to my dash, the panel buttons didn’t work, and the factory USB in my car didn’t work. When I came back 2 days later they didn’t charge me to work on it since I had already paid, but I had to argue back and forth with the owner to get stuff working. He’d keep telling me “nah it’s cheap Chinese aftermarket, that stuff usually doesn’t work when you change head units” etc etc. After arguing enough he’d check it out and find why something didn’t work, but if I didn’t know better or had done research he would have sent me on my way with a radio that could function properly, but didn’t. The reason it wouldn’t stay flush was because his employee who had worked on it had ripped the mounting screws out of my dashboard. When I pointed out that I had it mounted, he again tried telling me “nah I don’t see it” but luckily I had a second unit and showed him the mounting brackets that weren’t put on since the screws got ripped out. He got some screws from his shop and got it mounted. He said I was good to go, but then I saw it wasn’t flush again and the mic wires were dangling out of my dash. Told him and he got it flush and wired routed, but my hazard lights and usb still didn’t work. I went home and did research and figured out what to do, undid everything and properly wired everything and now the factory USB and hazards work as they should. While I was working at it at home I noticed two connections had wires ripped out of the mounts, but luckily I had the spares. I also noticed they mounted the faceplate on while wires were jammed into my AC exhausts. I also noticed that the mounting screws for the unit itself were not put back on and were sitting in my cup holder. So I basically redid all the wiring and cleaned up everything, and fixed my issues at home after paying some people to half-ass my radio. Again, I hate to leave a bad review because other than the arguing and bad work, they were extremely friendly people and offered me food and drinks while I waited.
