- BMBrent MittelstaedtApr 29, 20261.0Terrible experience. I was told it would be $160 labor and diagnosing the brake system on our Isuzu NRR. They did not take the wheels off the truck. They said the whole system needed replaced by just looking at the rotors through the wheel. They wanted $8000. OEM parts from the dealer $3000 Turns out their diagnosis was wrong. We replaced everything and it made no difference. Master cylinder needed replaced. The rear brake system was hardly worn. Front brakes needed replaced. I bet this project would've cost me $12,000 in the end. Check engine light shop guy said he spent one hour. He said the turbo needs replaced. Asked several times what the cost of that would be. Never got an answer. Been two weeks. Total diagnostics for the brakes and check engine light cost me $650 . I guess wouldn't be terrible if they were right. I will have the turbo replaced and see . If I ever did get the quote, probably would've been $20,000 for everything. Hope to find a reasonable shop.
