I went in for assistance for a dead battery - Michael went above and beyond to get me a new battery and he even installed it for me!

TLDR: Very rude and poor customer treatment at this Amelia location. Was going to let this one go, but on a personal level, I've had enough of that, frankly. I went there a few weeks ago to check a code on my wife's car because I could not find my code reader after a move from out of state. An older guy came out to run the code, and he turned my car off before plugging the device in, which I found odd since I thought that might temporarily eliminate any current codes, leading to a false absence of a reading (maybe I am wrong?). I am an electrical engineer, I understand there is different equipment with different procedures, whatever, moving on... I didn't have a problem with him turning the car off, all I was trying to say to him was that the codes might take a minute to come back since he turned the car off, because that is what happened to me. It took a full 3 minutes or something like that. I didn't get to finish what I was saying before the guy blows up on me and says not to tell him how to do his job... I was confused and I ended up just saying, you know what, I will go somewhere else, thanks and have a nice day. Then the guy says something like, "I've been doing this for years, I don't need you telling me how to do my job, just let a guy do his job." Well, I'm a pretty nice and easy-going guy, so this really put me off. I really make an effort to treat people well and with respect. I have been going to advance auto parts for years, almost exclusively for all of my auto-parts purchases, and never have I ever been treated this way, and I wasn't even being rude or aggressive. Maybe the guy was having a bad day, but that really isn't professional behavior. I told him I would not be back because of this, and he said "good." Not asking for the guy to grovel, but that told me he just really didn't care, no real apology, or a "my bad", or whatever. I would have been willing to shake hands and be good, but he just had a real bad attitude, so I was done. I will not be back.

Every time I've needed help I've went there for a new battery and they have installed. Both times has been the older gentleman that has helped me and done the install. A very stressful day with needing my car jumped, to getting a quick install by him changed it all. He is very kind and efficient, which removes the stress i had at arrival. True customer service!
