- JPJoann Proctor2 days ago1.0After having my oil change at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change location in White Plains, New York, I noticed that my air conditioning was blowing warm air during the 100+ degree weather. Two days later, I took my vehicle to my mechanic, who advised me that the A/C service cap had been left off, allowing the refrigerant to leak out. I was also told that my transmission fluid was below the proper level. What concerns me is that, during my visit, I was strongly encouraged to have my transmission fluid changed. Given what my mechanic found afterward, I am extremely disappointed and have lost confidence in the quality of the service I received at Valvoline. Based on these events, I am concerned that the issues may not have been accidental. While I cannot know the intent, the circumstances have left me feeling that the problems may have been created or overlooked in the hope that I would return for additional, unnecessary services. I hope Valvoline investigates this matter thoroughly so that other customers do not experience a similar situation.
