  My experience with Safelite was extremely disappointing. What should have been a straightforward windshield replacement turned into a week-long ordeal with multiple unnecessary trips and poor communication. The initial installation used a non-OEM windshield, and I was told the vehicle could not be calibrated because of the glass. I was informed that an OEM windshield had been ordered and was asked to return the following week for it to be installed. When I returned, my vehicle was given back to me with numerous warning lights illuminated and critical safety features disabled because the calibration had not been completed. I had to drive the vehicle for an entire week without these safety systems functioning. The following week, I was told the technician was on the way to my house, even though I had been instructed to bring the vehicle to the shop. After reminding them of this, they contacted the field technician and had him return to the location. Two hours later, I was told my vehicle was ready. I was simply handed my keys, with no explanation and no receipt. When I inspected my vehicle, I discovered that the non-OEM windshield had never been replaced. Despite being told the windshield itself was the reason the calibration could not be completed, the original glass remained in the vehicle and the calibration had somehow been completed successfully. This clearly indicates the windshield was not the issue in the first place. The most concerning part is that I was unnecessarily driving for a week with important driver assistance and safety systems disabled based on what appears to have been an incorrect diagnosis. The lack of communication, wasted time, and unnecessary safety risk made this a very poor customer experience.

  ​I just had my Lexus front windshield replaced at Safelite, and the entire experience was incredibly smooth! Honestly, I had a lot of worries going into this, but they turned out to be completely unnecessary. The team here is extremely professional. ​The staff was so nice and welcoming. I was especially impressed by the technician—they did a fantastic job neatening up and transferring my NYS inspection sticker, registration sticker, and even the E-ZPass transponder box perfectly onto the new glass. ​I highly recommend them to anyone needing glass repair. They really go above and beyond!

  Safelite in Westbury is run very professionally and the owner/manager does an excellent job in describing what to expect. The workmanship is first rate and in this time of a lot of glass damage from poor roads Safelite is there to minimize the damage

  The technician arrived on time and was very good BUT, he arrived with the wrong window, drivers side instead of passengers side. When I spoke to Wendy, the store manager, she was nasty and unaccomating. She told me there was nothing she could do and that I had to wait until Monday. DO NOT USE THE WESTBURY LOCATION!!!! I cancelled and went with another company that could fit me in tomorrow.

  I am very disappointed with their service. If you can don’t use them. Left me waiting two days with appointments and no show. No apologies was just sent a text showing they rescheduled an appointment for me without notifying me first.
