Oil Change Services

Oil is the lifeblood of every standard vehicle on the road. It's crucial to regularly check your oil and schedule oil change service for your car to ensure it runs properly. Regular service also allows us to check for leaks in your engine that could shorten your vehicle's lifespan and lead to other avoidable problems.

Tire Rotation

Rotating your vehicle's tires is important for maintaining and managing treadwear on your tires, and in some cases is required in order to preserve your tires' warranty.

Brakes Service & Repair

Regular brake inspections help you to know when to service your brakes and can save you money by finding needed repairs before they become severe.

Mufflers & Exhaust

We can service, replace, and repair exhaust systems, catalytic converters, tailpipes, and mufflers. Ensuring these systems are working properly is key to elongating the life of your vehicle and maintaining optimal performance.

Wheel Alignment

Proper wheel and tire alignment helps your car's tires last longer, increases fuel economy, and improves your vehicle's handling. Our highly-trained tire alignment experts are ready to provide you the reliable, quality service you need to get back on the road.

Shocks, Struts & Suspension Replacement

Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.

Car Battery Replacement and Installation

Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples. Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.

TPMS Sensor Replacement

There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

Service was very slow, waited a long time for a simple repair. Seemed like getting a lunch order in was more important than getting my repair done.

3-4 weeks after the initial repair a different Mavis shop was able to correctly repair the exhaust system - as is the legal obligation of Mavis under their warranty and the lemon law. The shop at 2020 Genesee St: Had to move my appointment several times before being able to look at the car and provide me with an estimate (verbal, not written). While the manager told me it might vary by a few dollars - the actual price billed that day was $150+ more than what was quoted. This information was not shared with me until after the car was worked on. The initial repairs were done , at least in part, with incorrect parts by someone who was not comfortable doing the work and who was being made to do it by their manager (quoting the second shop that corrected the botched work). Not only was the exhaust system about as loud as it was initially - the muffler at the end came unclamped within a few miles and was dragging on the ground. When I returned to have it addressed the shop "did the best they could" by welding the exhaust pipes together causing the system to knock against the frame while the engine was running. The shop was also so careless they: Did not close the hatchback of the car - causing it to press against the garage door. Likewise they almost backed out over their own drill and the faulty/incorrect U clamp and blots and I still have some kind of bracket that they appear to have removed while doing the repair that I have not yet identified. I am not sure which would be worse: For the mechanic and manager to be so bad at what they are doing to be unable to tell the job was not done/it should not knocking against the frame audibly - or for them to know it was substandard and to just not care. After many trips to the 2020 Genesee St Mavis and the New York Mills location - after 10+ hours in their waiting room and after more than four weeks after my initial appointment - it was finally repaired. I should never have trusted the 2020 Genesee St location with my car. to add: There was an older gentleman with a BMW that was returned without brake pressure after brake work. - He was told that the pressure builds up if he "just pumps the brakes". I was in agreement with the gentleman that bleeding the brakes properly and making sure it has pressure on the brakes was part of the expected work. Reply to owner: I believe I have already "worked to a solution" to Mavis Tire's satisfaction and that they consider the matter closed. While the exhaust system was repaired in the end (again as is your legal obligation under your own warranty and the NY Lemon Law) Mavis Tire had no concern for any unnecessary time and effort required of me to keep insisting the work be done correctly. Extra trips to your shop(s), Extra hours spent waiting in the waiting rooms (less than clean by the way) extra time with an exhaust system knocking against my frame (and making it happen in the first place) and extra frustration trying to hold your shop accountable. - all the customers problem(s) and not of the concern of Mavis. Its my opinion that people pay your shop rate of $165 an hour because - at that price - you should be buying quality workmanship and not a fight for accountability.
