- IPIan PerryApr 15, 20261.0Waited for over 20 mins for someone to down obd sensor read. He said he’d be right out he just needed to help the next customer in line and seemed annoyed when I told him what my vehicle was as if he thought I was reminding him about the sensor, maybe I should have. Multiple customers came and went in that time and there were multiple people working. Seemed like a lot of was going on was more about talking to their regular customers and friends than it was about doing requested service that the store provides. If you can’t do the sensor read because you’re busy or whatever, then say you can’t. Don’t leave a customer outside for 20 mins.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
