Oil Change Services

Oil is the lifeblood of every standard vehicle on the road. It's crucial to regularly check your oil and schedule oil change service for your car to ensure it runs properly. Regular service also allows us to check for leaks in your engine that could shorten your vehicle's lifespan and lead to other avoidable problems.

Tire Rotation

Rotating your vehicle's tires is important for maintaining and managing treadwear on your tires, and in some cases is required in order to preserve your tires' warranty.

Brakes Service & Repair

Regular brake inspections help you to know when to service your brakes and can save you money by finding needed repairs before they become severe.

Mufflers & Exhaust

We can service, replace, and repair exhaust systems, catalytic converters, tailpipes, and mufflers. Ensuring these systems are working properly is key to elongating the life of your vehicle and maintaining optimal performance.

Wheel Alignment

Proper wheel and tire alignment helps your car's tires last longer, increases fuel economy, and improves your vehicle's handling. Our highly-trained tire alignment experts are ready to provide you the reliable, quality service you need to get back on the road.

Shocks, Struts & Suspension Replacement

Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.

Car Battery Replacement and Installation

Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples. Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.

TPMS Sensor Replacement

There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

This location is awesome! The mechanics did a great job, but the person who truly made my experience exceptional was Brian. From the moment I pulled into the lot until the moment I got my car back, he was attentive, professional, and made me feel like I could trust the entire process. He took the time to clearly explain everything my vehicle needed, which I really appreciated. Thank you for having someone like Brian on your team. Because of the outstanding service I received, I will definitely be making this my primary location for all of my vehicle’s maintenance and repair needs.

I had such a great experience here. My tire pressure light came on after a 12-hour overnight shift, and they were so kind, patient, and helpful. They took me in right away and fixed the problem. I was exhausted and even fell asleep in the waiting room, but they made everything easy and stress-free. Truly grateful for their help and would highly recommend them.

Fool me once, but not twice! A few months ago, my Subaru, with only 6,000 miles on it, got a flat tire. I had my 19-year-old son take the car to Mavis in Thornwood to have it repaired. Shortly afterward, my son called and said the Mavis technician told him that all four tires were damaged and needed to be replaced. He was told that if I replaced them now, I wouldn't have to worry about any future tire issues. I thought that sounded strange for a vehicle with only 6,000 miles, but I trusted their expertise and ended up paying for four brand-new tires. Fast forward to this week. My wife needed an inspection on her 2021 Jeep Wrangler and made an appointment with Mavis. She arrived on time, but they kept her waiting for about an hour. Not a huge deal, but frustrating considering the vehicle sat there the entire time despite having an appointment. As Jerry Seinfeld might say, "If I'm waiting an hour after arriving on time, then what exactly was the appointment for?" During the inspection, the technician told her the vehicle failed because the power steering fluid was low. She called me and put the technician on the phone. I asked why the fluid would be low and whether there was a leak. He said there was no leak, but the system needed to be flushed at a cost of $79. I asked if they could simply top off the fluid so the vehicle could pass inspection and I would have it checked further at another time. He said no, that they do not do that and that the system had to be flushed. I asked, "You can't just add fluid?" He replied, "You can, but I won't." I then asked, "So the vehicle would be safe to drive and would pass inspection if the fluid level were brought up to the proper level, but you're only willing to flush the entire system?" He said the only thing he was allowed to do was flush the system. He also stated that once the flush was completed, the vehicle would probably pass inspection if nothing else was found to be wrong. I then asked him to send me a picture showing the low fluid level. He did, but the photo was essentially useless and did not clearly show the fluid level. I explained that I had recently purchased four new tires from Mavis and had also paid them to replace a tire on another vehicle that had developed a bubble. I again asked if they could simply top off the fluid and allow me to address any underlying issue later. He repeated that he could not pass the vehicle unless the power steering fluid was full and that the system needed to be flushed. At that point, it felt less like a safety concern and more like an attempt to sell an unnecessary service, so my wife left. Between being told that a 6,000-mile Subaru needed four new tires and now being told that a simple top-off wasn't an option unless I paid for a flush, I've lost confidence in Mavis's recommendations. Honestly, if he had told me it would cost $30 to top off the fluid, I probably would have agreed to it. But there is no way I'm going to trust this place to perform repairs or maintenance on my vehicles. At this point, I simply don't trust their recommendations or their judgment.
