My friend got a sandwich and fries from Burger king to go. There was also a convenience store inside for snacks and a Starbucks. Outside the station, it looked like an area for a farmer’s market. I thought the frog shaped trash can was adorable.

I am new to the Schenectady area, currently a full-time nursing student, and looking to make this community my home. During one of my recent visits, I stopped in looking to purchase an E‑ZPass and met Tara while she was working in the restaurant. Despite being extremely busy, she greeted me with a gracious smile and kindly asked for a moment while she managed several responsibilities at once. As a former retail manager, I immediately recognized the professionalism, leadership, and customer service skills Tara brings to her role. She not only helped me get my E‑ZPass, but she also delegated tasks effectively, supported her team, and treated me with kindness, patience, and respect throughout the entire interaction. Over the past few weeks, I've visited this travel center several times and have had the opportunity to observe Tara in action. I can honestly say that I haven't seen this level of "old school" customer service management in a very long time. She leads by example, stays calm under pressure, and genuinely cares about both her customers and her employees. As someone who is new to the area and hoping to settle down here, experiences like this make a lasting impression. Applegreen is truly fortunate to have Tara on their team. Thank you again, Tara, for your outstanding service and dedication. I'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
