  Scheduled an appointment multiple times now for an inspection and they’ve canceled last second multiple times now. Instead of calling early they like to call 10 mins before your appointment is due.

  Big lesson in why you don’t trust big box stores to be reliable I had an appt booked days in advance for tire mounting , tie rods and an alignment. You can only reach a foreign call center when you call them , I confirmed the appt there and then they also transferred me to a guy in the actual shop to confirm what I needed. I need it done as soon as possible as I am driving 200+ miles for my honeymoon in a few days. They said no problem it would get done. I get a call today , about 13 hours before my appointment saying there is no mechanic there to do the work , he’s on vacation and they blame the call center for not telling me. I tell them that I talked to a guy in the shop and they try to act like I didn’t or he “ must have had his days mixed up” ? If I hadn’t have confirmed the appointment I would have just rolled up and would not have been able to get an alignment , thus not be able to drive as I already did the tires and tie rods. Just unbelievably bad service. I usually avoid big box stores like this like the plague but needed a computer alignment , big mistake trusting Monroe to hold an appointment I double confirmed I had !

  Very unimpressed by the quality of the work and the customer service offered here. Made an appointment for muffler trouble but they called to reschedule saying they had overbooked. Then when I finally went in, they found additional work to do in addition to the muffler. I explained I needed the car to pass a New York state inspection. Paid them thousands of dollars to do the work, and when I left the check engine light was still on. I asked them about it, and they said it would go out after 100 miles of driving. Well the next week after 300 miles of driving, it was still on. I tried to call them, but it went to an automated system and then a receptionist who was not knowledgeable. So I went into the shop during their work hours, and the woman there told me there was no one who could help me, they couldn’t even read the code that the check engine light in my car was showing, which their previous service left me with. I had to go down the street to another mechanic shop just to get them to help me understand what new problems the work at Monro had created. It was now throwing a whole bunch of new diagnostic issues, none of which will allow my car to pass inspection. I would never have paid them thousands of dollars to do the initial work if they had been honest with me about the scope of the issue. Plus now they’re refusing to stand behind the work they did or even talk to me about it. This company is dishonest and unreliable. I would strongly recommend checking out Good Guys Auto down the street instead.

  i never want to give a 1 star review but i would never bring my car here again, nor recommend First, I showed up for an appointment for an inspection && they told me they didn’t have the appointment and their website was glitched && it had occurred to 5 other people that day. They told me to schedule for another day, okay whatever stuff happens. The appointment comes, I drop off my car and it took 2 full hours for them to do the inspection. At other places i’m in and out in 10 minutes. Luckily I just pass the time at the gym, but I finished my workout + added time and walked back and it still wasn’t done. In the end it didn’t pass inspection so I scheduled another appointment for the next one with my dad fixing its light. Again, drop off the car and go do my workout and one hour later they call me to say my light is still out & will cost $80. The same lightbulb that cost $10 at autoparts store. Okay whatever I couldn’t be bothered doing this again so I went with it. I asked the man if he will call to let me know when the car is ready or if it’s better to just show up in 20 minutes. He promised he would call when it’s all good for pick up. ANOTHER HOUR passes and no call, I can’t wait any longer and I show up && see my car parked on the side. No call, no notice or anything after the guy promised on the phone. I’m so sorry but I would never recommend

  After I informed them the cause of the flat tire was failed sensors, they did not check the tire pressure sensors, did not check or inflate the other tires and charged me the full $36 which itemizes checking the pressure sensors. And after the tire was replaced, when I asked them to test the sensors, I was told they had no time for it. However, they did offer to replace my rotors, which still have a couple months of life. I declined. So the cause of my flat remains unattended. Avoid using Monro in Saugerties NY!
