  The young guy doing the inspection, should play with his cell phone, on his break, the line of cars waiting, is ridicules.

  I initially went to Monroe muffler for an inspection. With the engine light being on they said they needed a puffer to check an EVAP leak. Monro muffler on East ridge road Irondequoit New York stated that they didn't have a puffer so after charged me 21$ for the inspection listing two failures one being the rear brakes and evap leak, they sent me to Mr muffler which is also on East ridge road that they're affiliated with. If Monroe muffler is performing inspections they should have the equipment for the job such as a puffer. The manager at Mr muffler told me they also found a cracked serpentine belt as well which he said failed. I asked him they've already inspected and charged me for the inspection with only two failures at Monroe Mr muffler. He stated well I saw it and I put it on there anyway. I wasn't mad just questioned it. After three trips going back and forth to correct the EVAP leak was finally fixed. Work and labor included was $1,400 plus. Not including the brake job which was another $600.00 plus dollars. At the end they recharged me for the inspection another $21. I won't be going back to Monro Muffler or Mr Tire anytime soon.

  Jose and his crew really went above and beyond to repair my van. They have a new customer for life and will be taking all my vehicles there when necessary.

  Brought in my 2005 Honda CRV with check engine light and a P0420 code.They told me that it needed a new catalytic converter and 2 oxygen sensors . I said ok do it plus and oil and filter change and a NYS inspection. 5 days later Monroe called and said it was all done. I came to pick it up paid a bill of $1710.35. They gave me my keys started it up got on the road and the check engine light came right on. Stopped at a light and the car kept wanting to stall and was running real rough. The car ran perfect before they did the repairs even with the check engine light on. So I drove right back there. Told them what was happening. Their response was that I needed to drive it around for like 50 mile to reset the monitors . I told them it doesn't want to stay running. So they told me to leave it with them. They called back on Friday saying it was all set. Went on Saturday to pick it up and saw them trying to get it to pass the NYS inspection and it wouldn't. They told me I needed to drive for 50 miles to reset the monitors. I said ok , and that's exactly what I did . I drove almost 100 miles and check engine light would not go off and the car still wanted to stall and was running rough. At that point I lost all faith in their mechanical know how so I brought it to a REAL Mechanic. What they found was the 2 oxygen sensors were in reverse order . They put them in the right order and check engine went off and my car runs perfect. Cost me and additional $356.40 that I demand that Monroe reimburse!! Or else !! .

  Went in for a catalytic converter replacement and it was the worst experience car wasn't test driven after so I did test it and returned in a few minutes due to noise was told it's your converter but that's what I just paid you to replace.the staff seemed very nice until I paid for the service then any issues after wasn't their concern.its been such an horrible experience trusting that your paying for a quality service.yet these mechanics do more damage than corrections which costs you more and they never wanna take responsibility back years ago monro was the go to place the old owners took care of the customers these new owners not so much.it was a learning experience I won't make again
