  Came for an inspection, failed me claiming my rotors needed to be replaced, despite them being less than 5,000 miles old. Took my car to an oil change place around the corner (who doesn't sell brakes) and they passed me just fine. Don't come here if you have any rust on your brakes.

  Every time I’m at Monroe, I have to be extremely vigilant in repeating what I want. They constantly try to scam you into extras things. Not asking but adding it to the bill, claiming it’s “standard”. This time I asked if they had the stuff I needed in house, they said yes but after I showed up, they drove around 1/2 of Rochester finding the piece. They clearly lied to get my business and completely screw me over. My grandmas just got her brakes changed for $2000, now that’s a scam. I’m sure they saw she was almost 80 and thought, who better to scam. It’s ridiculous. They are slow on top of everything trying to wring for all your worth.

  Very kind and courteous, staff. Jose and Anthony were very knowledgeable, helpful as well as professional. Their prices were fair, and Service was given in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Good job!👍🏼

  I initially went to Monroe muffler for an inspection. With the engine light being on they said they needed a puffer to check an EVAP leak. Monro muffler on East ridge road Irondequoit New York stated that they didn't have a puffer so after charged me 21$ for the inspection listing two failures one being the rear brakes and evap leak, they sent me to Mr muffler which is also on East ridge road that they're affiliated with. If Monroe muffler is performing inspections they should have the equipment for the job such as a puffer. The manager at Mr muffler told me they also found a cracked serpentine belt as well which he said failed. I asked him they've already inspected and charged me for the inspection with only two failures at Monroe Mr muffler. He stated well I saw it and I put it on there anyway. I wasn't mad just questioned it. After three trips going back and forth to correct the EVAP leak was finally fixed. Work and labor included was $1,400 plus. Not including the brake job which was another $600.00 plus dollars. At the end they recharged me for the inspection another $21. I won't be going back to Monro Muffler or Mr Tire anytime soon.
