I reserved a vehicle and completed online check-in, only to receive a phone call from the manager just a few hours before pickup stating they had no cars and could not honor my reservation. If vehicles are unavailable, your booking system should not show inventory or allow customers to check in. Canceling at the absolute last minute when a customer is traveling with family and young kids is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a total disregard for service. To make matters worse, I had to scramble to find another rental company and pay an extra $100 out of pocket to fix their mistake. Extremely disappointed with Enterprise—unreliable and unprofessional.

- PGPhil GoodliffeSep 12, 20264.0Enterprise is very convenient if you are travelling by train to Albany-Rensselaer train station (and returning the car there). Their kiosk is inside the station and the cars are parked just outside. Don't worry if there is no-one in the kiosk - we rang the number given and a helpful employee arrived within 15 minutes. If you are a UK tourist (like me) use a CREDIT (NOT A DEBIT) card to keep things simple - you will need to 'hold' a $300 surety with a credit card. The employee re-assuringly checked over the chosen vehicle for external damage with us and asked us to return the vehicle with roughly the same amount of petrol as when we collected it. The 'out of hours' drop-off procedure was clearly explained and very easy. The amount charged to my credit card was less than estimated when booking. We would use Enterprise again.
