- ANAlex N4 days ago5.0I brought my 2015 BMW 328xi to M-Spec in Lindenhurst for a second opinion after the BMW service center told me I needed to replace the entire rear muffler section and exhaust flap actuator for approximately $2,700. M-Spec took the time to diagnose the problem and found that the exhaust actuator flap clip was missing. They repaired the issue for a fraction of what BMW wanted to charge me. The difference was immediate. The exhaust rattle that had been bothering me is gone, and even the loud “boom” noise I had been hearing on startup, which honestly sounded like an engine problem or misfire, appears to be gone as well. I’m thankful for the diagnosis and repair. Instead of simply replacing expensive parts, they found the actual problem and saved me thousands of dollars. It’s exactly why getting a knowledgeable independent specialist and a second opinion can be so important. Very happy with the fix. Thank you!
