  Professional service just as promised: they arrived within the scheduled timeframe, replaced the windshield and wipers as agreed in a reasonable amount of time, and did an excellent job. The technician was truly friendly and answered all my questions—it is a pleasure working with companies of this quality.

  Terrible experience with Safelite. What was supposed to be a simple windshield crack repair turned into much bigger damage to my vehicle. Instead of taking responsibility, management was extremely rude, dismissive, and even seemed to mock the situation. I felt completely ripped off. The lack of professionalism and accountability was shocking. I would never trust Safelite with another vehicle, especially an expensive one. Stay away!

  **Safelite – Absolutely Unacceptable Service. Stay Away!** I genuinely cannot believe how terrible my experience with Safelite has been. I contacted Safelite for a SIMPLE windshield crack repair. Instead of fixing the small crack, their technician made the damage significantly worse and caused additional damage to my vehicle. What makes this situation even more outrageous is how management handled it afterward. Rather than taking responsibility or offering a reasonable solution, the manager acted completely unprofessionally, seemed to find the situation amusing, and treated my concerns like a joke. I paid for a professional repair, not to have my vehicle damaged and then be mocked by the people responsible for handling the complaint. The way this was handled left me feeling completely cheated. In my opinion, this was an absolute betrayal of customer trust. Their attitude made it seem as though damaging a customer's expensive vehicle was no big deal. I have already begun pursuing legal action and filing formal consumer complaints regarding this incident. **DO NOT TRUST SAFELITE WITH YOUR VEHICLE.** Especially if you own an expensive car. What should have been a minor windshield repair has turned into significant damage, unnecessary expenses, and a legal dispute. **My experience with Safelite was disgraceful, and the manager's behavior was even worse than the original damage.** I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

  PATCHOGUE LOCATION The technician Michael showed up as scheduled on Wednesday 9/30 and began replacing my windshield. He accidentally cut a part he shouldn’t have and botched the job completely. He owned up. Management could learn something from him. Accidents happen. Safelite then offered me a rental car. I said I couldn’t afford it. The technician’s supervisor told me over the phone, “We’ll take care of everything.” After all, it was their mistake. They were the entire reason I needed a rental car. But apparently “everything” excluded money, communication, and my car. I got to the Enterprise desk and was hit with a $150 deposit for the vehicle. Is this not part of “everything?” I’m not sure why I had to tie up ANY of my own money to fix a problem Safelite explicitly caused. When I called and emailed Safelite about the problem, I received no response. They still had my car at the time. Stay away from this place if you care about your vehicle/sanity. Call a reputable autoglass shop. Safelite isn’t your only option. Your insurance will cover the glass shop just like it covers Safelite, and the glass shop won’t botch the job then leave you $150 lighter at the rental counter. Safelite damaged my vehicle, promised to take care of everything, then left me tying up $150 of my own money and chasing them with calls and emails. The mistake was understandable! The treatment afterward was unacceptable. To top it off, Safelite repaired the windshield the following day at a random auto body shop and left it there. I’m only one driver, Safelite. Why on earth should I be expected to pick up a car you broke and towed? Also, HOW am I supposed to get it? Did you just not think that far ahead? Or do you simply not care about customers in the slightest? The Patchogue location was the one I dealt with. Awful.

  Absolutely terrible experience with Safelite. Safelite came to my location to repair a small crack in my windshield. Instead of repairing it properly, the technician made the damage significantly worse and my vehicle was also damaged during the service. Afterward, management showed no real concern about what happened. I was essentially told that they did not care and they refused to take responsibility for the damage caused during their service. At this point, I have started the legal and consumer complaint process regarding this incident. Based on my experience, I would never trust Safelite with my vehicle again. Be extremely careful before allowing them to work on your car, especially an expensive vehicle. What was supposed to be a simple repair turned into major damage, stress, and a legal dispute.
