My inspection was up for my car so I made an appointment to come here. I was planning on being here for maybe a half hour or so, collect my inspection sticker, pay my little $37 and go. Imagine my horror when I was told that my car didn't pass and it requires $700 in work plus labor in order to pass. I was devastated because I honestly didn't have it to pay. I just spent $800 on dental work the week before. I honestly cried because it seems like I never get a break, there is always something. I need the car so I had to unfortunately put it on my credit card. They did also offer to do the bare minimum, just enough to pass the inspection giving me the option to get the other work done when it was more convenient for me. I ultimately decided to just do all the repairs because they needed to be done. They completed the work and I left only for the car to start beeping at me and then overheating. I called them and brought the car back in per their request. They looked at it and discovered that it was beeping and overheating because I was low on coolant. They don't sell coolant at this location of course, cuz that's how my luck is. That would've been too easy. But the one guy, I think he said his name was Tim, motioned to the other gentleman to retrieve something from the rear of the shop. He emerged with a bottle of coolant. Tim poured the coolant in and declined to charge me. I was very moved by that gesture. It has been financially rough lately for me and stressful and this act of kindness by Tim and the other guy at Mavis really moved me. He didn't have to do that for me, most places probably wouldn't have. He then suggested that I follow up with a mechanic to check if I have a leak and referred me to someone. I recommend people utilize this business for your car needs. They are honest and they are kind. Oh and they work fairly quickly too. I didn't even have to wait very long for them to make the repairs. Tim, thank you so much for your kindness. I was having a very bad day, week, month, and year and your gesture of kindness really helped. I appreciate you and the other mechanic. Thanks again!

Gave this place two chances, they changed for the worse, service used to be really good but now it’s a place with mistakes, go anywhere else with your car and money

I would not recommend this place to anyone and I would give this place 0 stars if i could. I had an appointment at 10:00am for new tires and an alignment. After 4:00 I had to call to ask for an update and was told they had just brought my car in and the person working on it went to lunch but to get there before 5 because they close. I show up at 4:40pm to find my car without any tires on. I had to wait until 5:05 for my car to be finished. When i went to pay I asked them to take off the alignment as they did not do one, to which they claimed they did (although my car was not turned on and driven until 4:34, so unless they alignment was done and the tires taken off in 6 minutes this would be impossible, as I was there watching my car). I then drove off to find my tires wobbly. I also was the last car being worked on so unless no one else arrived at the shop after 10am in the morning they let my car sit all day and didn’t work on it until the last minute. I have attempted to call 2 times today to bring my car in to fix the tires to which I was put on hold for 10 minutes and disconnected and a second time it rang with no answer. Do not go to this place.

I have nothing but great things to say, Tim and Ernie had me in and out when I went there for a tire blowout on a Sunday afternoon just before they were closing. I will definitely be returning here in the future and was provided with nothing but excellent service!

Tim, at the front desk was a life saver. I had a flight that afternoon and needed the car safe to get me and my kids to Newark. He was jammed packed had a 2hr wait. When I told him my situation he was able to get my tire fixed in 20mins. People being people! highly recommend thank you Tim
