  I typically stray from leaving less than stellar reviews but I have to admit my experience here on August 20th was very disappointing. On my way to a job to escort an oversized load my battery voltage warning turned on indicating loss of power. I felt lucky I was within the range of an auto parts store, and didn’t realize there would be 2 of them within walking distance at the time of my power failure. I chose auto zone due to the time of opening. I just barely made the turn into the plaza where auto zone is located and lost all power including power steering. I was grateful the store was open right as my vehicle failed, thinking I just need a new battery. After my vehicle failed in the entrance, in the pouring rain I walked up to the store. The 2 employees were outside smoking cigarettes and the older man did come in after I greeted them, just after opening at 7:30am. I explained the power failure on my vehicle and pointed to it, as it was visible from the store. The gentleman advised me he thought it was an alternator issue rather than a battery problem and told me he could sell me a battery that will just get drained and offered no further assistance. Based on the advertising of auto zone I was under the impression alternator and battery testing could be performed. I was not offered any further assistance and chose to leave the store. I understand it was not his personal problem but I just want to give my experience as I had to wait over an hour for a tow truck while being given the finger and rude hand gestures by passersby for over an hour because of the lack of kindness or care from this employee. I will admit as a rude customer was walking in as I left, complaining about my BROKE down truck, I did start cussing to myself on the disappointing walk, in the pouring rain, back to my truck and even sunk as low to turn around and give the finger to the entire store which resulted in someone calling the police on me. I just couldn’t understand the lack of compassion or at the minimum the willingness of this employee to perform the job auto zone advertises can be performed. Maybe I caught him on the wrong day, but I was extremely disappointed in the lack of compassion, and especially the lack of service which is advertised for every auto zone location I have ever been to. The most frustrating part is that after I was towed to a garage several hours later, they changed the battery and my truck was fine. Rude, lacking compassion and apparently unknowledgeable as well…
