I had to visit the 2nd ave shop twice in the last week. 1st was for a tire Sarah and the mechanic who helped me were the best. They really were kind and got me a new tire quickly no waiting around. 2nd was an oil change the guys in the shop were very friendly they came out and said someone would be out in a sec. Censure was very friendly and told me what they did and answered any questions I had honestly. The staff at this shop is terrific give them a try. Adirondak hang on to these workers.

Last week my husband and I got all four of our tires changed, paid about $430. Today on our way home on the highway our right rear tire went from 40,24,12 in the matter of 3 minutes because these people couldn’t even take the time to ensure all caps were tightly screwed on. Thankfully our tire didn’t fall off because we were able to stop at a Firestone off route 9 in time but it’s ridiculous we even had to do so as we had JUST GOT BRAND NEW ONES A WEEK AGO!! please make sure all your air caps are tightly locked & make sure your staff is doing their job. It could’ve went so badly if our tire blew out.

As someone who works in management, I expect a basic level of professional accountability, quality control, and customer care—none of which were provided by this facility. My experience here on July 30th and 31st was not only an enormous waste of time and money, but it also actively put my safety and the safety of my children at risk. I originally brought my car in for an oil change and a flat repair, ended up spending my entire workday at the shop, and ultimately authorized four brand-new tires, as well as new brakes and rotors, totaling a very large bill. Immediately after leaving, my Tire Pressure Monitoring System light came on. When I called the shop, I was dismissively told to "probably just put air in the tire"—an absurd response considering four new tires were just installed. Upon stopping at a gas station, I inspected my vehicle and discovered that all four tires installed on my car were completely mismatched (pictures attached below). I called back immediately, but because I was in Clifton Park and it was 10 minutes before closing, I could not make it back in time. At no point was I warned that driving on mismatched tires was a safety risk or told to park the car until it could be serviced. I drive my children in this vehicle, and allowing me to drive away under those conditions was entirely unacceptable. When I returned the next morning—wasting another half-day of work—the employee Jamal had zero notes in the system from the night before, though he was the only bright spot of this experience, showing true empathy and consulting a mechanic. To top it off, I was informed they did not even have the correct tires for my car in stock to begin with. While I appreciate Jamal’s efforts on day two, the overall negligence, the safety risks, and the insultingly low level of compensation offered at the store level are unacceptable. I am leaving this review so other drivers are aware, and I strongly hope corporate leadership reviews how this location operates and reaches out to make this right.
